Cult just dropped a sneak peek of two new products that will be dropping soon. The first, a full guard sprocket and then the 2nd version of the Mind Control front load stem. We don’t have info as far as specs go, but we can tell you they will be offering both in a Rasta color and that the Mind Control V2 has a recessed top and laser etched logo on the side! Expect more info as soon as we find out!
Thinking about a new sprocket? Proper Bike Co. just released their new Vanguard sprocket that is CNC machined from 6.7mm thick 7075 aluminum with a 23.8mm bore (comes with 22mm and 19mm adaptors), extra machinining for a clean look and additional weight savings, four rotation points for you to bolt to your cranks for extended life and wide enough to fit half-link chains. The Vanguard sprocket comes in 25, 27 and 28 tooth versions with colors of black, high polish, Ox Blood red and Dark blue.
Some of you might be wondering why they did a 27-tooth option… Here’s why.
“We thought very carefully about the sizes, the 27T is for those who want to run a slightly bigger gear size but still wants to go crooked grinds, 27T is the maximum size you can go and still give good clearance.“

Colony have just released two new colors for Jourdan Barba’s signature Menace guard sprocket; red and purple! This sprocket is CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a split 5-spoke design and integrated full guard to protect your chain and sprocket teeth. The sprocket features 1/8″ teeth, a 24mm bore with 19mm and 22mm adaptors, color options of black, polished, red and purple, a size of 25 tooth and a weight of 4.4 oz.

Time for a new sprocket? Have you given S&M Bikes’ X-Man Guard sprocket a look? This sprocket is CNC machined out of 7075-T6 aluminum right here in the U.S.A with 1/8″ teeth, a 24mm center bore, two S&M Shield logos and S&M Bikes logos and two crank mounting holes for extended life. The X-Man Guard sprocket comes in black and a limited edition Mike Hoder signature BTM wrap with sizes of 25 tooth and 28 tooth available.

We have seen a lot of innovation in BMX products with materials that we once thought wouldn’t quite do the job, that ended up actually working really well. The guys over at Eclat just released photos of their new Carbon Fiber Full Guard Sprocket that uses a new proprietary process that makes the sprocket just as strong as 4130 heat-treated chromoly without the added weight. Unfortunately, because it’s made of Carbon Fiber, they couldn’t make it work with the steel spline drive inserts, though.

Here’s a little gem we spotted over on The Merged. It looks like Primo have a new throwback style sprocket coming in oil slick that will be dropping this week! What do you guys think?
When you’re on the hunt for a new sprocket these days, it can be a little challenging with so many different spindle sizes and styles available and not every sprocket is compatible. For 2015, Profile Racing wanted to make things easier by giving you the ability to run their Sabre sprocket on 19mm bolt-on and spline drive spindles, 22mm bolt-on and spline drive, and 24mm bolt on cranks.
