It’s always interesting hearing some of the stories behind what it takes to make an edit happen for a ride. In Jake Miller’s case, it sounds like he had a lot of hurdles to get over to make this one happen. Luckily, he was able finish it up because there’s a ton of wild riding from street spots, parks and even Trey Jones’ backyard down in Florida!
“It’s been a pretty wild ride getting to this point for Jake Miller. Jake won the Florida BMX Series a few years back and Subrosa threw him his Party Splatter Frame and some of his other parts to make an edit with. Shortly after this he had to have surgery from an existing injury which caused a chain of medical issues and crazy life situations that left his edit “delayed.” This is the long awaited Jake Miller edit.

In a world where, thanks to technology, we see countless videos on a daily basis, there’s definitely an appreciation for film work that has a lot of quality, time and effort put into it in comparison to 15 second clips filmed during a quick session. Our good friend JC Pieri is an example of a film maker that is always producing high quality videos that really show more than just the crazy riding that went down. The other day we were fortunate enough to get a sneak preview of his latest video project “GTTNSIDEWAYS” that he worked on with Coco Zurita. This video is much more than just your typical BMX video and incorporates some amazing locations, Coco’s motorcycle, car and riding and some great film work. We were beyond psyched on this video, so we figured it would be cool to talk to JC and Coco to find out a little bit of what went into the 10 days they spent working on the video! Check out the interview below along with the trailer. The full video will be online February 15th and you will not be disappointed!
This is amazing and shows just what the BMX family does when one of our own hits a bit of a rough patch. Stu, who we didn’t catch a last name from, was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had an operation to remove the kidney recently. A bunch of his friends were pretty worried about him and obviously with a big operation like this, they wanted to do something to help him get back to his old self and feel better. They pooled a bunch of money together to pick up all the parts to Stu’s dream setup and documented the whole process. Part one gives us a look at what it took to get everything and his reaction to receiving the gift. This is some powerful stuff that will make you probably tear up a little bit.
Part two coming soon!
Yes, yes and more yes! Brant Moore just hit us with the latest LIP LORDS! This new one is a pretty all-star cast of guys destroying the spine at Ray’s in Cleveland! Brant along with a few legends like Rick Moliterno, Dorito and Steven Hamilton? Come on… You need to hit play!
“A Winter part of the Lip Lords Series featuring Sponge, Dorito, Troy Lawson, No Shirt Kid, Kevin Stovall, Alex Leibrock, Steven Hamilton, Rick Moliterno, Mike Potoczny, New Philly Billy and Myself.
One ramp, endless possibilities.
The Lip Lords were originally a group of guys from colorado who rode in the late 80s and early 90s.
This series is a tribute to the original lip lords.
This is Lip Lords.” – Brant Moore
It’s been a little while since we’ve seen Raymond Inskipp’s name pop up, but it’s very clear he has been busy stacking clips around the north east of England for this new video! Check out Raymond slaying tons of rails, throwing his buttery smooth whips and cooking up some damn good lines for you to check out! This is one you will love if you are into street!

A couple of Canadians decided to ditch the cold weather for something a little warmer down in Texas! Check out some clips they filmed that aren’t going into their DVD project in this new edit!
“Our first trip of 2015 was to Dallas/Fort Worth, TX . Myself (Mitch Radcliffe), Andy Vanstemp and Ryan Vanstemp made the trek down in my car and while filming for our full length project in the streets, we managed to get some leftovers and cool clips from the park near the apartment. There will be more videos like this through out the year and more info on our project next fall. Thanks for watching, spread the word if you enjoy.” – Mitch Radcliffe
Can’t go wrong with a good old fashion trails jam! Check out the crew getting down at the Snakewoods trails where there was a big crew, plenty of style, a little bit of fire and probably some alcohol poisoning that went down! Looks like it was a good time — for most of the people — and one jam worth being at!
