A Tribute to Riders Lost
Oh man, I forgot about this video. Last year at NORA Cup in Vegas, Ride BMX dropped this video to pay tribute to all of the amazing people we lost in 2012. It’s so crazy to think how rough of a year it was and how much each of these people played a big role in BMX. Take a second to watch this and remember. Rest in Peace, guys. We miss you.
“I’m neck-deep in NORA Cup preparation and I realized yesterday that we never posted the tribute video we played before last year’s show. Late 2011 and 2012 was a rough period for BMX, as seemingly one after another, we lose riders and friends. We put this video together to honor the lives of Mike Tag, Dane Searls, Thomas Hancock, Randy Taylor, Mike “MCM” McCafferty, Ricky Bates, and Gary Dimartine and show it to 1500 fellow riders. Even watching it today gets me a little caught up, so you can only imagine how emotional it was the night at NORA. Anyway, even a year later, this is definitely worth putting out there. Rest in peace, boys.
