Talking BMX with Chris Doyle

November 17, 2022

Chris Doyle sits down for a catch up with Brant Moore!

Here’s a new one Brant Moore dropped from a new interview he did with Chris Doyle during a recent video chat. Check out a little over an hour of conversation covering what he’s been up to lately, getting on the S&M Bikes team, stories from the past and much, much more. As always, Chris always has something interesting to say, so you already know this is a good listen. Check it out!

“Last week there was quite a bit of online excitement surrounding a comment made in a podcast that used Chris Doyle as an example older BMX riders taking opportunity away from younger riders through being supported by a BMX company. While we didn’t want this to be the main focus of this conversation, it is certainly a topic that we needed to be brought up. So Chris and I talked about this for a little bit before moving on to talk about so many great things such as Brian Yeagle, a Section 8 story, Chris and his love for street riding, why he hated Rooftop for a few days, and so much more! This was a great conversation that I enjoyed very much. Hope you enjoy too!” – Brant Moore

Disabled Dan – One Hip BMX Rider Inspiring The World

November 16, 2022

Dan Butler doesn’t let his disability slow him down!

We’ve seen quite a few riders that are riding at an exceptional level despite having a disability that would keep most people from being able to do most things. However, some people just have the drive and motivation to not let their disability keep them from doing what they enjoy. Dan Butler A.K.A Disabled Dan is one of those riders that has not let his lack of a hip joint keep him from throwing down some incredible riding! Here’s a video Brant Moore put together where Dan tells his story, along with some insights from guys like Karl Hinkley to tell just what kind of a person Dan is. Hit play because this is a super good watch and definitely a dude who needs to be on your radar!

“Disabled Dan Butler is a freestyle BMX rider who is inspiring the world using a 20″ BMX bike; all with just one hip joint.

After a bout with sepsis as a young teenager, Dan spent 3 years in the hospital, went through 28 operations, and in the process lost his right hip joint. Even through all of the adversity he faces in life, Dan presses on with his mission to inspire.

Ride In Peace Ray Fairclough

November 13, 2022

It’s always a bummer hearing about a rider passing. The other day the Ohio scene lost a big one with the passing of Ray Fairclough. Here’s a short but sweet tribute to Ray that Brant Moore put together that just shows the kind of guy he was from his riding to his infectious smile. Rest in peace, Ray. BMX won’t forget you.

“Ray Fairclough,
One of the most genuine, positive souls I ever had the pleasure of encountering. Always smiling and always treating everyone as a best friend; BMX and the world as a whole were better for having you in them and we will ALL miss you
With love,
Brant Moore
