How To Install BMX Brakes
Want to learn how to install BMX brakes? Brant Moore has done a handful of different videos explaining different tricks and techniques for dialing in BMX brakes, but he has never done a video showing how to install BMX brakes from start to finish. Today, he decided it was time to do one of these videos for those of you out there that are interested in trying the stoppers out or having issues putting brakes on your bike after some time away in the brakeless life. Hit play, take it all in, dial your brakes in and then go do a bunch of fufanus and abubacas! This is a good look at how to get this done.
Do you have any questions? Any tips you think that Brant should have included in the video? Let us know in the comments below! Shout out to Brant for doing this video!
If you would like more tips and tricks to dial in your BMX brakes, here’s a playlist Brant has on his Youtube channel that covers a ton of different things from maximizing braking power to custom modifications and dialing in a gyro setup that he doesn’t cover in this video. There are 16 videos in this playlist, so you literally should be able to find something to help you out if you’re struggling to get things just right! If you want to check out what’s in the playlist versus scrolling through all the videos above, you can check it out right here.

It’s Friday and that means it’s time for Brant Moore to do a round up of all of the best BMX videos, the latest news and a look at a few new products! As always, Brant gives a recap of everything in his video, then you can find everything he is talking about in the video below!
Women & X Games – Live with Nina Buitrago
As many of you may have heard, the X Games wasn’t willing or able to do a Women’s BMX class. Over the past 5 or so years, the Women were able to get sessions on the course or do demos, but they’ve never been given their own actual contest. This year Nina Buitrago and the other ladies decided enough is enough and they weren’t willing to pay their way just to do another demo. The girls have decided to boycott the X Games this year to make their voice heard that they want their own contest. Brant Moore got on a live call with Nina to talk about everything going on, that helps explain how it all got to this point and where she hopes to see things go!
“Nina is an absolute legend in BMX who has shredded for years and earned the respect of the vast majority of BMX.
Recently she brought attention to the fact that Women’s freestyle BMX will be in the Olympics before it will have an official medalled event in X Games. With that, we had an opportunity to talk about her history with X Games as well as the history of women’s BMX with Xgames and her feelings about the whole situation and what it has become within BMX.
Rather than asking the exact same questions that have been beaten into the ground, we dug deeper and responded to a few of the different points brought up by some in hopes that considering both sides of the situation might help the conversation.
Check out @thebloombmx as well as @nina_burrito on instagram for more about women’s BMX and to follow Nina’s BMX journey!” – Brant Moore

How To Remove and Install BMX Pedals
If you ride enough, especially with plastic pedals, eventually BMX pedals will wear out and you’ll need to switch them out for a new set. It’s a pretty basic part to change, but it can be a bit of a struggle, especially if you’re turning your wrench or allen key the wrong way. Here’s a video Brant Moore put together showing you how to remove BMX pedals and then he show how to install BMX pedals on your bike. This covers what tools you need, and the trick to which direction you need to be turning the wrench since it is a little backwards for one of the pedals. One thing I don’t believe Brant mentioned, but it’s definitely a good idea to put just a little grease, or better yet some Loctite, on the pedal spindle to keep them from rusting or seizing on your crank arms because that will make it extra difficult when it comes time to remove the pedals. But, grease can also make it easier for your pedals to come loose, so it’s kind of a toss up on how good that is. Hit play and take it all in.
“How to remove and install bicycle/bmx pedals told in 3 minutes or less!
Let me know what you guys think of this new concept for a video series! I know a lot of my videos are extremely long and in depth, which can be too much or annoying to some. So I had the idea to make a series for BMX tips, but told in 3 minutes or less!” – Brant Moore

“The first ever Lip Lords Jam went down in 2018 and was an absolutely amazing day. There was so much footage from this jam that I thought splitting it into parts would be best.
