Kink went digging for Chad Osburn’s raw clips from “Intervention” for this weeks Saturday Selects video!

As many of you recall, Kink released the “Intervention” video online back in 2016, and it was an absolute banger of a BMX video. This week Kink decided to have Darryl Tocco dig into the archives and pull out a ton of raw footage from Chad Osburn‘s section for your viewing pleasure. This is filled with clips from his part, b-roll, crashes, scraps and randoms. Needless to say, this is well worth a look since Chad did some real gnarly things for his part. Take a peek!

Kink BMX – 12″ Roaster Bike Rips!

It’s been rad seeing so many younger kinds getting on BMX bikes at earlier and earlier ages. Kink hooked Chad Osburn‘s kid, Ezra, up with one of their 12-inch 2018 Roaster Complete Bikes up to start ripping around on. “Simply put the Kink Roaster is designed to be a kids first BMX bike. The 12” wheel and frame size make it an easy transition from a balance bike, and means kids will feel completely comfortable on their first pedaling bike. Once again, this bike isn’t simply a bike with 12” wheels or merely a miniaturized BMX bike. It factors into account standard BMX geometry, and applies them to a younger child’s size and needs.

The Gloss Blue Chill colorway really shines while the bike sports some great components throughout. In addition to the miniaturized 5” Kink Puma CC bars and 12” Kink Lance forks, the Roaster features a coaster brake in lieu of a lever based brake system, that could be too difficult for some children to use at a young age. For 2018, the chainstay bridge design has been updated to fit a caliper brake or 990 plate for those looking to add a lever style brake as well.

Chad Osburn Road 2 Recovery Update

Last week we caught wind the Chad Osburn had a bad accident and landed in the hospital. We didn’t get much for details or hear how the accident happened. The crew at Road 2 Recovery have been helping Chad out and just issued an update to fill everyone in on what happened and Chad’s current condition! You can check out the full update below. “26-year-old Kink pro BMX athlete, Chad Osburn was recently injured while practicing a trick at his local skate park. He suffered serious injuries to brain that caused two hemorrhages that were localized to the front of his brain. He is also suffering from systems of head trauma; leg spasms, lack of taste and severe pain. Chad is currently recuperating between Dallas Baylor Hospital and his home in Texas.

On Sunday, April 30th Chad and his friend Alex went to a local skate park to practice some tricks and film for Chad’s social media when the accident happen. According to Chad, “It was at the end of the session when I hit the back of my head off a foot tall ledge pedal grind”. He got stuck going backwards from the trick and hit his head full force, knocking him out. He doesn’t remember anything after the fall. Currently surgery is not an option yet. His doctors at Dallas Baylor, want to see if the brain will be able to heal itself. They are closely monitoring him with multiple trips between the hospital and home. Each time his has to go into the hospital to be checked on, he has to be medically transported.

Due to the amount of blood in his brain from the hemorrhages, Chad is not allowed to drive among other things like work and lift anything. Medical transportation is extremely expensive; combined with the fact that he’s not released to work, the expenses are accumulating exponentially.

Chad’s doctors are still accessing the damage but they are expecting him to heal completely. With that being said, Chad still has a long road ahead of him and a lot of expenses that his insurance will not cover. If you are able please donate to his cause here. We’re not quite sure what happened, but we’ve gathered that Chad Osburn had a bad accident and he’s currently in the hospital. We don’t know the severity of the accident or what happened beyond that there are serious injuries. There has been a GoFundMe Page setup to raise $15,000 to help Chad and his family out with medical expenses and more! If you have a few bucks to spare, please Donate! Kink – Rust Belt Tour Video

The Kink team loaded up for a road trip around the Rust Belt to visit skateparks and shops.

A few weeks back Chris Doyle, Tony Hamlin, Chad Osburn, Darryl Tocco, Jay Roe, Casey Starling, Travis Hughes, Dan Coller, Jake Petruchik and Marcus Christopher loaded up for a road trip to a handful of skateparks and shops around the Midwest. Here’s a video giving you a look at the riding and good times that went down on the trip. This video definitely has a Props vibe to it with the interviews, music and everything. This video turned out awesome, Darryl did an amazing job with this one. Check it all out! We would not mind seeing more BMX videos like this again.

Kink In Monterrey, Mexico

Some of the Kink team headed on down south to Monterrey, Mexico to hang out with the crew at Prisen Co.! Here’s a video from the trip down through boarder patrol to the riding that went down! Looks like it was a real good time to us!
