Sneak Peek: Bone Deth – Cranks

November 2, 2012

We had a shot of these up from Interbike back in September, but he’s a better look at the new Bone Deth cranks they are currently testing. These 2.5 piece cranks are most likely able to stand up to a bomb dropping on them since everyone on the team know a thing or two about getting wild on their bikes. No set release date, but since there’s branding on the arms, I’m going to assume they are very close to production.

Product: Odyssey – Socket Drive Thunderbolt Cranks

August 11, 2012

Make your way over to The Merged to get all the info and a look at the new Odyssey Thunderbolt cranks that feature the Socket Drive system (think spline drive) that they are finally releasing for more than just flatland. Looks like a dialed option to me.

Product: KHE – Erlkönig Cranks

August 3, 2012

KHE sent through some information on their new Erlkönig cranks for you to take a look at.

“This three piece crankset combined the special Fluted (different wall thickness) CrMo Arms with an extreme reliable hollow CrMo axle. This axle contains a larger drilling for a larger decrease in weight without a decrease in strength.
The 48splined KHEbikes Erlkönig crank is available in two lengths 160mm (for Flatland) and 175mm (for Street Park and Dirt).
For further Information got to KHEbikes.com.

Insight: Mutiny Cinch Cranks

July 3, 2012

All photos: Cody Nutter
Note: Cranks in photos are RHD, but Gaz is running them LHD. That’s why it looks backwards.

The past few weeks, Mutiny have been dropping some sneak peeks of their new products that will be dropping in a few months. I’ve been keeping a close eye on what they have cooking and the other week I got a glimpse of something that really caught my attention; their new cranks. I got ahold of the man in charge over at Mutiny, Gaz Sanders, to talk about these new two-piece cranks that they will be releasing soon. The Cinch cranks really have a unique shape and overall design to them, so I’m excited to give you guys a closer look at ’em. Check out this interview with Gaz about the whole process of creating the cranks from start to finish along with some shots of the final production samples…

Product: Fit – 24mm Indent Cranks

June 15, 2012

Here’s all the info on the new 24mm Indent cranks from Fit. Definitely interesting seeing the larger spindle being used.

“Sometimes you just need to go bigger to make things better, which is why we’ve created the new 24mm Indent Crankset. These use the same indent style as our original 19mm version, but with a much larger and hollow 24mm spindle to increase strength without adding weight.”

You can find out more about the cranks right here.
