It’s been quite some time since we’ve done one of these On The Horizon pieces where we catch up with a brand to find out what they have going on these days and what’s coming down the road. The other day, the guys over at Cult released their brand new website along with their full range of 2016 product from complete bikes to frames and parts. Between that, Cult celebrating their 5 year anniversary a little while back and the constant flow of projects that the team and brand are working on, we felt like it would be a good time to hit up the boss man, Robbie Morales, and talk about what Cult has going on these days and to get a good look at some of the new 2016 product. We caught wind of this one a little while back when Cult‘s product designer, Neal Wood, posted up a photo of a drawing he did for the frame on Instagram. Now, the TRF or Trail Race Frame is available, so we figured it would be a good time to give you guys the details on it.
We caught a look at these at Interbike the other week, but now we have full specs and details for you. Cult have released Chase Hawk‘s signature Hawk cranks. These cranks are made from fully heat-treated 4130 chromoly with custom forged arms with investment cast oversized spindle bosses and wraparound spindle gussets to increase the overall strength and keep them stiff. You can also find a 48-spline, 22mm hollow chromoly spindle with hollow chromoly spindle bolts to help save a few ounces of weight. The Hawk cranks are right and left side drive compatible and can fit regular and nano drive sprockets with an arm length of 175mm and matte black for the color.
