Product: Volume – Vessel Frame

March 4, 2014

vessel7

The guys over at Volume Bikes just released the full specs on Broc Raiford’s signature frame, the Vessel, that will be out in March. If you caught our INSIGHT on the 2014 product like from Volume and Demolition, you would have seen we had most of the frames specs listed with a few details missing. We figured it would be a good idea to follow up with all the specs and details now.
The Vessel will feature full 4130 heat-treated chromoly tubing with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 9.25″ stand over height, 11.7″ bottom bracket height and a 13.25″ – 13.75″ chain stay length. You can find double butted front triangle tubing, gussets on the top and down tubes, an hour glass head tube, a wider bottom bracket shell which helps to allow for more tire clearance, double-diamond s-bend chain stays allowing for larger gearing, investment cast dropouts with built-in chain tensioners, removable brake mounts and an integrated seat post clamp. The Vessel will be available in 20.5″, 20.75″ and 21″ top tube lengths with flat black, raw and flat red for colors and a weight of 5 lbs. 2 oz. (20.75″)
This frame will be hitting shops and mail-orders in March. You can have your local shop pre-order you a frame now by having them get ahold of 180 Distribution today. Check out more photos right here

Drey Team “Dazed In Dekalb”

March 4, 2014

Paul Dybas just hit us up with his latest video from a trip him and a few friends took last year to Dekalb, Illinois. I’m pretty sure this is the first time we’ve seen a video from this place, but it looks like it has a few spots worth riding. Check out nothing but good vibes and some real good riding in this video!

“Drey Team took a trip to the spot riddled land of Dekalb, IL in fall of 2013. This is what we came up with. Some of these clips will end up in the new mixtape.“

Colony – Forks With Brake Mounts

March 4, 2014

If there’s one trend I’d like to see come back in BMX, it’s front brakes. This video Colony just dropped is pure GOLD.

“We’re one of the few brands who still make forks with brake mounts these days, always have, always will.
To celebrate this fact we compiled a bunch of front brake clips from Clint, Polly & Bobbie. Some new, some older but all showing good use of the front brake. It’s something we feel very strongly about & will always offer within our product range. Forks with brake mounts are here to stay & we’re helping that one bike at a time. #colonybmxbrand #frontbrakebrethren

March 4, 2014

The guys at Eclat have released their own version called the E-Tool, which features a clean and simple way of fixing anything and everything on your bike in this simple tube. Take a peek.
