Man, where does time go? I just realized we’ve been doing these Products: columns every Saturday for over a year already. A couple weeks over a year to be exact, but that’s okay because there’s always some fresh BMX products to check out. This week we’re going to take a closer look at the new High Top stem from Fit Bike Co., the Mark Mulville signature “Gator” hubs from Profile Racing, the new Garrett Reeves signature grey Soundwave from Sunday, the Simplex front hub from Eclat and the Master hardware kit from 43 Hardware. Let’s get into this!
Dan’s Comp caught up with Devon Smillie to talk about what it is about skateboarding that gets him as stoked as he does with BMX. Check out a sweet mix of skate and BMX clips which won’t disappoint!
“Dan’s Comp team rider Devon Smillie is a really good skateboarder as well as ripping it up on a bike. Devon blurs the lines between the two activities and this video by Stew Johnson for Dan’s Comp breaks down the how and why. Skating may be an escape for Devon, but he applies his skate skills to his bike riding with stylish results on both two and four wheels.”

What would you do to follow your dreams? Would you wake up one morning and plan a move across the country? Would you leave home in hopes of pursuing a career doing what you love? Well, regardless of what you may or may not do, while you are still sitting there thinking about it there are people out there like Broc Raiford making moves. I’ve been doing this whole thing long enough now to where I have seen riders go from young up-and-comers just trying to make a name for themselves to some of the top pros in the game. Broc is on his way to fitting himself into that category. His bike control is blatantly obvious when he rides and he has the type of personality that will take him far. He recently made the move out West to California in hopes of pushing his BMX riding to a new level and I have absolutely no doubt that being here will do just that. He knows what he wants out of life, has the work ethic that it takes to be successful and did I mention that he kills it on a bike? Get familiar with Broc, find out about the move, and see what he has planned for the rest of the year and more right here.

The new Key Sprocket and High Top Stem collaboration colorway that Fit Bike Co. and Dan’s Comp teamed up for is available for pre-order now! You can order the sprocket for $54.99 right here and the stem for $74.99 right here. Get on it!
Dan’s Comp: Building A New Whip with Van Homan. from www.dans360.com on Vimeo.
Dan’s Comp got with Van Homan to watch him build up a new bike, get some info on some new Fit/Dan’s parts he’s running, and of course get some clips of him on the new whip. As if that wasn’t enough, they are also giving away his old bike! Go here to get your shot at it.

Few people in the game have a NORA Cup on their mantelpiece at home stating that yes indeed, they made the best video of the time. Stew Johnson has such a trophy, and for good reason – Anthem2 was long awaited and hotly anticipated, and the hype built and built all through the filming and production process. The resulting video definitely not only lived up to but far exceeded the hype. And the just rewards came – it sold well (bearing in mind the age we live in and how people consume videos these days), the riders involved enjoyed truly landmark video parts, and then it was unquestionably awarded a NORA Cup. Anthem2 is timeless, an instant classic, and if you don’t own a copy of it in your video collection then you need to examine your status in life. Having spent the best part of 18 years working on BMX videos, Stew now juggles various projects for brands and companies – “I’m currently working on full length DVDs for Dan’s Comp and Fit Bike Co.” – and is going from strength to strength: we caught up with him just after a Dans Comp trip and here are his FIRSTS.
