Dan’s Comp – Parking Lot Jam Highlights

July 29, 2015

Last weekend was the Parking Lot Jam at Dan’s Comp‘s headquarters in Indiana! Despite the temps being super hot, they had a huge turn out from pros and some of the midwest’s finest which lead to an amazing session on the setup filled with ramps, ledges and more Subrosa Street Rails than you would even know what to do with! Check out highlights in this BMX video showing you just what went down. Damn does this look like a good time or what?

“In a parking lot next to corn field, quite literally, lies the headquarters of the biggest mailorder in BMX, Dan’s Comp. And on this hot Saturday afternoon, they invited riders and locals from all over to their first-ever Parking Lot Jam. Ramps were built, hot dogs were boiled, people sweated, and good times were everywhere you looked. With a super loose format, Scott Towne gave away a bunch of cash via some mini best trick events such as the A-Game on the A-Frame and the 540pm 540 challenge, pulled a couple of audibles on others, and even was dope enough to give away prizes for the longest drive (ended up being over 500 miles from the North Michigan crew) out. Overall, besides the heat making everything soggy, it was a damn good time. Looking forward to next year…

Product: Profile Racing – Z-Coaster – Pre-Order

April 16, 2015

Profile-Zcoaster-Hub666

Profile Racing‘s long awaited Z-Coaster is going to be available at the end of April! This hub is made right here in the U.S.A and starts off with a CNC machined aluminum hub shell that has laser etched logos. Inside, you can find a 14mm hollow chromoly axle, two sealed bearings and a larger sealed bearing behind the driver on Profile Racing’s new patented freecoaster design that uses 3 unique Z shaped cassette pawls on it’s 1-piece chromoly driver that allows the hub to disengage and work as a freecoaster.

The patented freecoaster design uses slack cam rings that allow you to set the amount of slack you want from 20-degrees all the way up to 90-degrees. You can watch the video on how to change the slack cam rings and how they work RIGHT HERE!

This hub sounds like a cassette hub when it’s engaged and then goes completely silent when you are disengaged and good to coast backwards. The Z-Coaster is available in black only with a weight 20.6 oz.

You can pre-order this hub by having your local shop get ahold of Profile Racing today so you can get your hands on the hub as soon as its released. You can also pre-order on Dan’s Comp as well. These hubs should be available April 29th!

The hub, however, comes with a higher price tag than all other freecoasters on the market with a retail price of $357.99. It’s pretty steep, but this isn’t your traditional KHE remake hub that most brands use.
