11 DAYS IN HONG KONG.
“Even as I paid for the tickets I realised this was going to be a huge gamble, we had to trust the fact that Hong Kong is a massive city, and if the architecture touches the clouds then there must be shit to ride. We just had to find it.”

I found out that this was dropping the other day and I’ve been patiently waiting for it until it finally dropped this morning! Eclat caught up with Darryl Tocco for their Natives series giving you a look at where Darryl grew up, how he got into riding, his thoughts on things like the industry and more. There’s even some real good riding mixed in for good measure. Definitely stoked on this one, so hit that play button!
“When you say the name Darryl Tocco, you think of a few things; PRO bike rider, accomplished filmmaker and world class air miler. Darryl is also the perfect candidate to discuss and open up to what he thinks about BMX in general, the internet and growing up inside a BMX industry as both a pro rider and a film maker.
Natives Part 3 explores in brief the background of Darryl Tocco, it also verges on his likes and dislikes in BMX. He also does what he does every single day; riding his bike.
Filmed by Scott Macmenamin
Directed by Paul Robinson
Additional filming/riding clips: Jay Roe, Dan Coller, Walter Pieringer, Brett Tocco
Produced by Eclat BMX
Part 4: Chester Blacksmith coming soon.” – Eclat
Eclat have been killing it with these one clip videos on their Youtube Page! Here’s a quick one of Darryl Tocco doing a feeble to manual to barspin to switch switch barspin line. I seriously drool over Darryl’s bars… If only I could do them like that! Check it!
Take a look at this new promo video from Eclat featuring their new Sniper lever and the one and only, Darryl Tocco, showing you how to put it to proper use! Dialed lever and some dialed tricks. Can’t go wrong. Take a look then take a closer look at the lever RIGHT HERE!
“The Sniper lever was designed from the very beginning to be the ultimate brake lever in all senses. The shape of the lever itself was sculpted for the perfect reach, with a slimmer centre section and then wider at the end where the finger pulls. This improves the ergonomic feeling of the lever and therefore the force you can comfortably apply on it. The backside of the lever is flat, so that when the lever is pulled tight, there is still maximum clearance to the knuckles of the other fingers. We used a cold forging process for the lever part as this offers increased strength characteristics over casting.
The clamp is hinged to allow easier positioning on the handlebar, and particular focus was made on making this fixing as strong as possible, as this is often the area of weakness on other brake levers, with threads stripping out. We used a crmo bolt and barrel set up as it is a stronger material and in using the barrel rather than a fixed thread the bolt can align itself into the perfect clamping position. Ultimately, this means when you tighten this lever on your handlebar, it’s going to stay put! The main part of the clamp is die cast 6061 alloy and the lower hinged section is cold forged for increased strength. The pivot pin is also made from crmo to ensure the hinge is as strong as possible.
To keep the lever pivoting smoothly we use a high quality two piece brass bushing which is machined to the perfect tolerance so that the lever clamps firmly but at the same time can hinge easily. We felt this was very important, as it is the feeling you get through your finger which reassures you how strong your brake is, and that you can trust it to hold when you need it.
We felt the lever deserved similar attention on the barrel adjuster, so we designed our own shape that blended perfectly with the lever, and used a CNC finish to ensure a precise fit and function. The final details were added with laser etched éclat logos to the clamp lever end.” – Eclat
