DIG – The Stevie Churchill Interview

DIG caught up with the one and only Stevie Churchill and sat him down to answer a handful of questions from what got him into BMX all the way through what he could consider doing down the road other than BMX. There’s a mix of riding footage and photos mixed throughout for good measure, too. Hit play!

“Stevie Churchill is a huge name in BMX but we felt like he may not have had as much limelight when it actually comes to getting to know more about the dude behind the truckdrivers. Cody Bowers – “Santa Barbarians – The Quest for the Holy Rail” Section

DIG have begun uploading sections from Alex Raban‘s DVD “Santa Barbarias – The Quest for the Holy Rail” that came out about a few years back. To kick the party off, they have uploaded Cody Bowers‘ section which is a good reminder of just how under rated he really is, considering he can throw down on everything from street to skateparks and trails!

“Roc Bottom” – Phil Demattia & Tony Hamlin

So stoked on this one! Phil Demattia and Tony Hamlin‘s section from the “Roc Bottom” BMX video is now online. Between both of these guys getting crazy on the grinds and Phil mixing in some brakes to create some unique riding, you have one hell of a video you can’t pass up! Check it!

“DIG proudly presents the next Roc Bottom section featuring two of Rochester’s finest Phil Demattia and Tony Hamlin, one a kickflipping transplant from the UK and the other a local who has been a mainstay of the scene for many years. These two are familiar faces who don’t need much introduction, so press play and enjoy!”

“I think this section represents what it’s like to ride with Tony & Phil. Y’know, the kind of stuff they’d be doing any given session. Tony is an amazingly nimble bike rider, and Phil has accurate precision. I’d say 90% of Tony’s clips he was just messing around. Phil’s crankflips can’t be fucked with. He has a unique bike setup; two pegs on the same side as his sprocket. Giving his back left pedal / crank a nice open spot for grinding. The over pedal slide is so dope. Both of these guys kill it, and it’s cool seeing them in a split part. Next up is the dynamic duo of Cork & Ickspat (Nick Spath) who close out the video.” – Matt Smith

The Day BMX Took Over The Streets Worldwide

This past summer, Monster Energy‘s Street Series contest decided to do one full day of BMX all over the world with jams going on in the U.S., U.K, Latvia and Japan. Check out this highlight reel from each stop all in one video. It was definitely a wild one and it sounds like we’ll be seeing it go down once again this summer!

“The Street Series Jams went global in 2015 in support of #BMXDAY and they couldn’t have gone any better! On the 18th of July we saw multiple street jams going off worldwide, all in the name of having fun on bikes. We were there with DIG for the five main events in Glasgow UK, Riga in Latvia, Nagoya in Japan and San Francisco/Chicago in the US… and we thought we’d put them all together and show you what went down that day in one single recap edit. One of the most exciting factors of street jams is the fact that anything can happen and this year was no different. High speed gaps, run-ins with cops, crazy locals and mobs of riders weaving their way though cities… this is how you do it!
