In the Cut: Nearly BMX – Behind the Scenes

DIG followed the Nearly crew out to Spain for a trip a little while back for some good times and riding. Fred Murray pulled out his point and shoot and filmed a ton of clips ranging from some great riding to hilarious antics they got into off their bikes that he compiled into this new edit. Well worth a look!

“A few weeks back I flew out to Majorca, Spain with Nearly’s Alex Donnachie, Kriss Kyle, Jason Phelan, David Grant, Cain Martin, Si Gibb and Isaac Lesser, and when I wasn’t shooting photos I pointed my step-bro cam at people in video mode. It’s hard to get across what a trip was actually like through the means of twenty odd photos but hopefully this behind-the-scenes video will give you more of a feel of what actually happens on these things. Despite the rain in Spain, the guys managed to clock up a bunch of amazing footage for Nearly 4k and David and Alex spent half the time riding each other’s bikes. Look out for the full video dropping this summer… ish. Shout out to dirty sensors and in-camera mics! – FM

Bone Deth – Torture Test PH48’s

48-spoke wheels used to be the norm years back, but as time went on and technology advanced, 36-spoke wheels became the dominate to help save some extra ounces. The guys at Bone Deth still offer 48-spoke wheels because let’s be real… They’re absolute savages. This video is a clear indicator as to just why they offer them and what kind of hell they are built to withstand. I wonder if they are working on 48 spoke wrists, ankles and knees. Woof.

“After his years in Greenville Shawn found himself moving up to Long Island for work for six months or so, and he coincidentally moved to the same town where myself and Russ Barone live. After meeting Russ and the other dudes he continued to ride with all them, but mainly stuck to street and park. Thinking he wouldn’t be interested, It wasn’t until a year or so later that Russ told him about the trails… but little did he know that Shawn grew up racing and riding jumps. Since he’s been coming down to the trails and since I met him, I’ve learned a lot about this individual who I can now call a true friend. Shawn is a stand up human and one hell of a fucking ripper. I wanted to put this edit together of him cause i hate when i see people of this talent get little or no recognition from the BMX world. So sit back, enjoy, and recognize.
