Weird & Revered “Vagabond Squad” – Team Ontario Section

June 17, 2020

The Weird & Revered crew coming through with another awesome section from the “Vagabond Squad” DVD. This time around we get a mix section from the Team Ontario squad who went to work on street spots, parks and more. This has a real good mix of tricks, with plenty of fufanus mixed in there, and styles, making for a good watch. Take a look!

““Vagabond Squad” is a full-length video from Canada’s Weird & Revered crew. Filmed from 2016 to 2019, the project is community rooted with a strong focus on the Edmonton BMX scene. Although a majority of the clips are from the crew’s home city, the footage spans 9 countries, 8 American states, and 4 Canadian provinces and territories.

Next up in our release of sections from Vagabond Squad is a split part from Kyle Lafleur, Sean Tiffin, and Ted Bambrick.” – DIG

“Kyle, Sean, and Ted were all born in the Canadian province of Ontario, but have since called Alberta home. This split part provides a healthy mix of brake tricks, peg tricks, and high airs. While their riding styles may vary, their ages and roots hardly do.” – Justin Schwanke

Alex Gonzalez – Isolated Ditches

June 16, 2020

Alex Gonzalez hasn’t slowed down during the shut down. He’s used the distancing as an excused to go out and explore some of the ditch spots around New Mexico, an do some solo filming! Here’s a look at what he’s cooked up for clips from his sessions! Great riding with some clean film work. Can’t go wrong with this BMX video.

“It doesn’t seem to matter; time in New Mexico takes the long way around with not too much to worry about, when it comes to the distress in the rest of the world, the state moves along as usual most of the time… During quarantine, the city of Albuquerque pretty much looked the same, vacancy isn’t a shock and the empty streets are a mainstay in the street riders handbook. So, Alex Gonzales took a new page out of his and took to the Arroyos’ (ditches); searching the endless concrete to find a different type of isolation.

Self-filmed in the month of April, 2020, Alex really shows the creative potential of what you can do, with or without lockdown!” – DIG

Yeaturdays Vol. 1

June 15, 2020

We’re not sure if Yeaturdays is a new squad or what, but we do know this is loaded up with a bunch of real solid riding from some familiar faces out in Pennsylvania! Hit play to check out what these guys cooked up for their first edition! This has a real good mix of tricks, styles and spots keeping it going from start to finish!

“The Yeaturdays Volume 1 hittin’ you with some Southeastern Pennsylvania flavor via Shilo Staniech, Eeshond Kirk, Angus Beef, Matt Loughead, Matt Smith and Dan Conway. Great vibes all-around.

Filmed and edited by Shilo Staniech” – DIG

Substance BMX – Joe Jarvis 2020 Video

June 12, 2020

You know when Joe Jarvis pops up with a new BMX video, you’re going to get some heavy clips! Here’s his latest for Substance BMX that is absolute first from start to finish. Crazy lines filled with grind combos, whips, nose balance and much, much more. Add in some clean film work and you have a video you can’t pass up! Hit play and take this all in.

“Substance BMX’s Joe Jarvis is on a damn roll right now. After killing it at Simple Session earlier this year the man has been on a non-stop riding mission. To give you some idea of how productive he has been, all this was filmed in under a week with his Scottish filming compadre Jack Millington – and wait until you see what he did with that short time. Joe’s rail game is fucking ridiculous, and his lines seamless as can be. Insane…” – DIG

Weird & Revered – Cary Lorenz “Vagabond Squad” Section

June 10, 2020

The Weird & Revered crew have released another section from their “Vagabond Squad” DVD online for your viewing pleasure! This time around we get Cary Lorenz‘s section that’s loaded with style from park and trails sessions. This one has a pretty laidback vibe, but it’s a real good watch! Take a peek!

Next up in our release of sections from Vagabond Squad is Cary Lorenz.” – DIG

“Cary is an old soul with a young body. If for some reason you were blind to his physical appearance, but were able to see his possessions, observe his mannerisms, and hear his conversations, you’d think he’s middle-aged. Cary likes structure and order; he lives in the kitchen and loves to bake bread; he routinely re-watches old Props videos and Seinfield episodes; he regularly attends ‘country night’ once a week at a local bar; he enjoys bike packing, fly fishing, and backcountry camping; he also occasionally—and passionately—rides BMX (atop a Terrible One Barcode I may add). Of all the people with sections in the DVD, Cary came out riding and filming the least. I should mention we lived together during this time too. You may not see Cary out riding on the regular, but when you do, you can expect his old soul to shine through. As the cliché goes, his riding will ‘age like a fine wine.’ We’re happy to finally have it documented for years to come.” – Justin Schwanke

BSD – Reed Stark “Sushi Safari”

June 10, 2020

We’re 69% sure Reed Stark has been everywhere more than once. Here’s his latest BSD video from some time he spent exploring spots over in Japan, presumably before COVID shut things down. Hit play to watch Reed, and a handful of others, putting in work on spots galore, taking in the sights and more. Reed crushes it as always with grinds and crazy spot usage. Japan never disappoints with the spots.

“Reed Stark with more travel adventures from his BMX life on the road, this time from a pilgrimage to the land of sushi and kendama – Japan. Proceed to pick your jaw up off the flaw after laying eyes on the stacks of incredible and one-off spots. There’s even some tree hugging in there! Love it. Reed smashes it as always.” – DIG

Weird & Revered “Vagabond Squad” – Team Dad & Friends Section

June 3, 2020

The Weird & Revered squad coming through with another section from their “Vagabond Squad” DVD for your viewing pleasure. This time around we get a look at a mix from a few of the OG’s in Alberta and friends from all around. This has a super good mix of tricks and styles, making for a good watch from start to finish. Get a look at this!

Next up in our releases from Vagabond Squad are two mix sections: 1) Team Dad and 2) Friends.” – DIG

“Alberta’s BMX Dad scene is strong. We have plenty of 30-somethings and 40-somethings with the responsibilities of fatherhood still killing it atop two wheels. ‘Team Dad’ is a mix section comprised of Alberta’s best parental talent. Following this up is another mix part. Weird & Revered affiliates from Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and as far as Germany and Israel have captured clips for the ‘Friends’ section of the film.” – Justin Schwanke
