Florent Soulas – After Work

July 18, 2019

It has been entirely too long since we’ve been able to enjoy some fresh Florent Soulas footage. Fortunately, here’s a fresh batch of clips from the sessions he has been getting in after work as of late. As always, Florent brings a crazy style that brings a good mix of tricks with plenty of manual and nose balance mixed in! Hit play and enjoy!

“Ahhh, it’s a good day when you get some fresh Florent Soulas. FIT’s freestyle ninja lives a family life in France but whenever he has a spare minute you can find him performing some physics-warping stunts aboard his bike. Our man Antoine Sabourin captured a local post-work session in Rochefort…” – DIG

DIY BMX Worlds 2019 – Whipsnake

July 15, 2019

The 3rd stop of the FBM X DIG DIY World Championships went down at the Whipsnake park out in the Carolina’s the other weekend. Despite some rain that kept things moist, it looks like everyone was able to get plenty of riding and good times in. This one looked more like a camping trip with friends than a contest, and that is what makes this so good. Hit play and take it all in!

“Deep in the cut of the US Carolina pine forests, completely off the grid and removed from normal society, sits a DIY/artist Shangri La of sorts, known as Whipsnake.
Built by underground DIY champion Tom Risser, this low-key spot showcases acres of his eclectic metal sculptures and this homemade concrete wonderland…

Miles from anywhere, and conveniently located right in-between somewhere and nowhere, we posted up for a weekend campout, for stop 3 on the FBM X DIG DIY World Tour, enduring mosquitos, coyotes, hundred degree weather, intense summer storms, and believe it or not, no phone service. Pack it in, pack it out, bring what you need, and leave with what you brought, minus a gallon or so of sweat, some blood, and whatever was inside the cooler…

Places like Whipsnake are wildly different than pre fab local parks, and most public spots, primarily known by word of mouth, amongst people in the ‘know’, places like this are hallowed ground for riders who build their own spots to ride, whether it’s a ramps, a set of trails or DIY concrete park, spot building and maintenance adds another layer all together to the riding experience, and Whipsnake is pinnacle to that whole idea.

DIY Detroit or Bust

July 13, 2019

DIY spots are a lot like trails. They can be there one day, and gone the next. Some of the crew up in Detroit recently spent some time cruising at a DIY spot before things got shut down. Check out a bunch of clips featuring a handful of familiar faces and a few new ones going to work on the setup they built inside this abandoned building.

“How does the saying go? “As one door closes, another one opens”… Well, that’s exactly what happened to the Detroit scene when their DIY park got the wrecking ball treatment… kinda. Soon as one was gone, another DIY was born, only to be shut down once again. Luckily the crew managed to a couple of days fun before it was all over. Dylan Thayer explains more…” – DIG

“End of April 2019, word was out that one of the local DIY parks in Detroit was closing/being demolished. Meanwhile, some homies found a covered spot (this) which was possibly going to be the replacement location. With it already having a few things already built inside, seeming like a prefect new location for a new DIY beginning. I decided to start filming some riding, hoping to catch some attention of more people to be involved. When unfortunately police stopped by and gave the boot explaining not to come back because the city literally just built a Bike/skate Plaza down by the river side. (which is one of the few things i’m working on currently) So this is everything filmed in the first and only two days at what we thought was going to be the new DIY spot.” – Dylan Thayer

United – Fernando Laczko “Up North Down South”

July 12, 2019

It has been quite some time since we’ve seen a new video from Fernando Laczko due to him having knee surgery and taking time to recover properly. Now that he’s back, it looks like he’s feeling good on his bike and ended up taking most of the past year to film this BANGER of a video for United! Everything about this from the riding to the spots, filming and editing are on point, and you will definitely not want to miss this one! Hit play and enjoy. Hopefully this means we’ll be seeing plenty more of Fernando in 2019!

“Following on from a year long ACL and meniscus recovery, United’s Fernando Laczko was ready to go in hard on a video, and after nine months of filming it turned out to be one of his best to date. Shot throughout Spain – Fernando definitely pushed the boat out on this one. Gap to grinds galore!” – DIG

“The whole idea to film with Gonzalo was because I just came back from a recovery and wanted to take as much time as I needed to work on a video. I usually go on one week trips where the video needs to be finished after that. The last time I had the chance to take my time was for my welcome to United video.

This was filmed over a duration of 9 months and has taken us all around Spain. From me going back and forth to Madrid and Gonzalo taking trips down here, we did a 7 day trip from Vigo to Madrid stopping in different cities such as Bilbao and Pamplona.

For me it’s more than a web video. If someone asked me to film a video part for a dvd I would give them this. I had that thought in my head while filming it if you know what I mean?

It was almost like I was filming an imaginary video part for myself. My “mentality” had finally returned after one year of ACL and meniscus recovery, I could finally ride without having the worry in the back of my mind.

I picked Gonzalo cuz’ he’s the man in Spain to film with. We became friends while he was filming a homie and I knew I wanted to work on something with him ever since.” – Fernando Laczko

Clement Carpentier X Robin Bourhis – DO IT YOURSELF

July 9, 2019

Here’s a dialed new one featuring Clement Carpentier and Robin Bourhis out slaying spots in France for DIY Brand. These two came across a ton of great spots and put them to amazing use. This is one BMX video that you’ll want to take a look at for sure!

“It’s always good to see riders getting creative off the bike as well, and that’s exactly what Clement Carpentier has been up to with his clothing brand ‘DIY’. Himself and Robin Bourhis got busy recently for this sick split section with things heating up in a big way towards the end. That last clip is no joke.” – DIG

“I met Robin a few years ago in Paris while participating at the Sosh Urban Motion contest, he was a little kid at that time and I had no idea I was going to launch a brand called DIY. We started to hang out, ride and travel together. When I first thought of this project, I immediately told myself “I want Robin to be a part of it”. We began filming when the brand was not even launched, just because we were having fun in the streets together. That’s what I like about him, about BMX, and that’s what I want DIY to represent. It’s all about fun, and it will always be. Hope you enjoy this video, and expect more of us and the rest of the family soon.” – Clement Carpentier

Cult – Sean Ricany “It’s Later Than You Think” Section

July 4, 2019

Get a look at Sean Ricany‘s “It’s Later Than You Think” section from Cult! This is one section we’re sure a ton of you have been itching to see pop up online, and now it is available for you to enjoy over and over again! As always, Sean cooked up some incredible lines and combos while out cruising the streets. This is one BMX video you cannot pass up! Check it out!

“Out of any rider in the world to garner hype for his video parts, Sean Ricany has to be right up there. This guy has been getting people shouting at their screens in disbelief for years now and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. His latest, and arguably greatest, appearance in Cult’s ‘It’s Later Than You Think’ DVD is another stonker. Effortless tech from one of the best.” – DIG

Thomas Roulston Video

July 1, 2019

“Well, after three years hard at work, Glasgow UK resident and Substance team rider Thomas Roulston can be proud as punch of this. Big Tam has given this one everything, in between shit weather, getting hurt, cameras/hard drives getting stolen, and come out with something special. We couldn’t be happier to host this DIG Locals video – enjoy, and look out for more from this guy in the future.
