Although Greg Illingworth doesn’t lve in South Africa anymore, he still makes the trip back to revisit his hometown spots and to visit friends and family. Here’s a video where Greg spends a day going through some of those old spots and talks about some of the experiences and memories that have shaped him into the rider he is today!

We follow him over a full day through Johannesburg in the company of the guy who first put him on video, Jimmy Reynolds, to discuss Greg’s move to Hastings UK, growing up riding in a place like SA, his influential meeting with the T1 crew during their World Tour in 2003 and his changing thoughts on his home country. He also revisits his early riding spots including the legendary Germiston bowl, and meets up with some of the next generation of local riders, as well as getting taking to the streets and checking out one of the wildest spots you’ll ever have witnessed. Simple Session 2018 – Qualifier Highlights

Plenty of madness went down during qualifying for Simple Session 2018!

Yesterday was the qualifying for Simple Session 2018 where a TON of riders went to work trying to lock down a spot for the top 12 spots in the Street and Park categories. When Van Homan and Brian Kachinsky throw an event, you know it’s going to be a good time. Here’s a look at what went down during the first stop of the Uncovered BMX Series at the Mason Dixon Skatepark. This contest is for the AM’s and it’s safe to say most of these guys you might not have ever seen footage of, but they all threw down. It looks like this was a good time to us!

“The inaugural stop of Van Homan and Brian Kachinsky’s Uncovered contest series at Mason Dixon Skatepark kicked off in a big way. People were hitting rafters repeatedly, wallriding the top of garage doors, and getting fed pizza by judges mid-run. After nearly burning down the whole place with his non-stop fuego in the finals, Pennsylvania’s Mad Mike Guth took home a well-deserved first place.
