The Return of Peep Game

November 1, 2012

I’m not sure if the Peep Game ever actually left, but it’s back on ESPN BMX. Check out Steve Croteau’s latest creation featuring the likes of Sean Ricany, Jared Washington, Augie Simoncini and more in the latest edition. I’d say we can expect more of this in the near future.

Stay Strong Team in the U.S Edit

November 1, 2012

ESPN BMX dropped this new one featuring the Stay Strong crew getting down in the U.S. Check out what Anthony Watkinson, Adam Aloise and a few others found during their trip.

2012 9th Street Halloween Trails Jam edits

October 29, 2012

It looks like 9th Street was the place to be the other day! Check out all the riding and good times that went down during their annual Halloween Jam courtesy of ESPN BMX and Empire! Hell yeah!

“For more than a few years, BMX trails and Halloween have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship that spans from the Northeast Pennsylvania scene all the way down to Austin, Texas. This past weekend, the annual Halloween Jam returned to the 9th Street trails, bringing hundreds of riders together for long jump comps, a rail jam, tree ride sessions and more. Veteran ESPN contributor Stew Johnson was on hand to cover the chaos, including Clint Reynolds’ Peter Pan costume and Brian Hunt’s effortless and stylish variations. “My favorite jam of the year in Austin! Thanks to all the sponsors
music: King Diamond “Halloween”

Rob DiQuattro in Boulder, Colorado

October 28, 2012

Rob DiQuattro has been on the move lately. Check out this video of him taking care of business at a couple street spots and the cement park in Boulder. So damn good.

“Late in the summer, Columbus, Ohio’s own Rob Diquattro made plans to visit Boulder, Colorado. For two weeks, Rob filmed clips at various parks and spots in Boulder, but avoided any on-camera discussion except for a light-hearted introduction. All week long, I asked him to sit down and say a few words in front of the camera but had no luck. Regardless, he definitely put in work riding for the edit.

Last week, Rob also made the move to the Mankind BMX team. “We are very proud and happy that Rob is representing Mankind in the states, joining Jeff Klugiewicz,” said Mankind. “Rob just got his new bike set up through Greenhouse BMX and is working on a welcome edit as we speak.”

Until then, here’s Rob in Boulder, Colorado. Music: Apollo Brown “Heirloom”” – Justin Benthien / ESPN BMX

Matt Closson – Leaving Las Vegas Edit

October 22, 2012

Always good to see some fresh footage from Matt Closson. The dude shreds hard! Hopefully once he moves back to California he will start popping up more.

“Diamond Back’s Matt Closson has lived in Las Vegas for the last five years and is about to head back to California. Vegas has treated him well — helping him expand his riding and giving him the opportunity to pick up a few new sponsors (Diamond Back and Osiris). In the above video, Closson puts down some lines at one of his favorite Vegas spots while offering a little insight to life as a BMXer in Las Vegas. Music: Jemez Mountain Hawkz “California Bound”” – Aaron Nardi / ESPN BMX

New England Jam Chowda Edit

October 18, 2012

Not sure why I kept calling it the New England Clam Chowda jam for the last few days, but I was blowing it. Either way! Here’s a video from the the jam for you to get a look at what went down. This is what I call a good time for sure.

“While Odyssey’s Texas Toast event was happening in Austin, a different type of regional jam was happening in the New England area. Chuck Goldy, of the Daily Grind BMX shop, decided to take some inspiration from Texas Toast and create New England’s own version of the event. He asked other New England area BMX shops, brands and websites to pitch in and contribute obstacles, creating a unique course for everyone to enjoy during the jam. The results, well, the video speaks for itself: BMX is alive and well in New England thanks to the efforts of the local scenes coming together.” – Shawn Howard / ESPN BMX

Animal Bikes Pop-Up Show in Manhattan

October 16, 2012

This is a rad concept. Check out this video Matt Brown put together from the grand opening of the Animal pop-up shop they have in Manhattan, New York for a few months.

“For over a decade, Animal Bikes has existed as a BMX brand that sold to bike shops and mail orders. Aside from sales on the website, they rarely deal direct with customers. But that has all changed in Manhattan, N.Y. Through the end of December, Animal is hosting a pop-up shop inside Dave’s Warehouse in New York City, where all things Animal and Skavenger can be purchased direct. According to owner Dave Ortiz, “I decided to make a small section within my store that I can have different brands like Animal come in and give them the opportunity to have their own store within my store in New York City without having all the overhead.” To celebrate the opening, Animal hosted a launch party last week. The shop will be open until December 31 on 123 Baxter St in NYC. If you’re in town, check it out.” – ESPN BMX

October 10, 2012

While Jeremy was up in Salt Lake City, Utah the other week after Interbike, he stayed with Matt Beringer for a few days. While he was there, Matt gave him the full tour to show you guys over on the ESPN website. Go take a peek!
