“This past weekend was the annual Toronto BMX Jam, and DK’s Drew Bezanson, henceforth known as “The Great Uniter” in BMX, basically rewrote the rulebook on contest wallrides once written by T-1’s Ruben Alcantara a decade ago. With the help of BMXFU’s Charlie Crumlish in the crowd, we’re proud to showcase some of the better angles of the absolute insanity that Drew brought to the Toronto BMX Jam, featuring guest appearance from Broc Raiford, Mike Fede and Darryl Nau. We’ll have a more comprehensive recap video up tomorrow, but for now, we introduce Drew.0’s new perspective on airing a spine with inspiration from Spiderman. Video by Charlie Crumlish.” – ESPN

“Phil Demattia rides for DUB BMX, éclat through CSG, and more recently, Kink BMX through Seventies Distribution. By trade, he is a sheet metal fabricator who can do anything from frame buildings to fine decorative metal work. Along the way, Phil decided to use his day job expertise to build a collapsible flat bar that he can fit in his car and take to whatever spot he wants. Phil thought it would be funny to film a little edit of him riding the rail all over Liverpool. So on the two dry days we had after he got off work, we went out and filmed this creative number. The Cinema Wheel Co. Barcelona edit is due to drop in about an hour. So above is the trailer one more time. After you get psyched on that, head on over to ESPN to check out an interview with Will Stroud on the production of the whole thing. This video is going to be sooooo good.
“Last week, we caught up with Cult pro Russ Barone to discuss the upcoming Cult video “Talk Is Cheap” outside of the House of Vans in Brooklyn, N.Y. Hailing from Long Island but spending his time throughout Austin, Texas most of this winter, Russ is a low key shredder with massive pop, style and some of the most locked-in cepicks in BMX. (He also happens to be one of the last few BMX pros holding down the cause for dreadlocks.) In the above video, Russ discusses the finer points of the new Cult video, his time in Austin and what Cult hopes to portray with “Talk Is Cheap.”” – Matt Brown / ESPN
