Aaron Ross had some some what “basic” surgery to repair his ankle and knee. He will be out for a few weeks, but it should allow him to spend more time riding in the long run. You can find out why he did the surgeries in an interview over on ESPN.
Zak Earley’s Skatepark Perspective
ESPN posted up this new edit of Zak Earley talking a little bit about why he thinks skateparks are awesome, and then proceeds to get awesome at Rye Airfield. The filming and editing was handled by Joe Cookie so that end of the deal is awesome as well.
BMX Employed: Ryan Flesch
Filmed and edited by: Brett Rohlfing
Ryan Flesh talks a little bit about the shop he works at, and also throws down some solid clips for this new edit on ESPN. Here’s a few words from Brian Tunney about it.
“Ryan Flesch is a BMXer/bike shop manager from the Central Florida area, and he sure knows how to throw down long icepick grinds. Recently, filmier Brett Rohlfing took the time to catch up with Ryan and learn more about his position as bike shop manager, and also catch some new clips from Ryan. This is Ryan in the Flesch. Bad joke, sorry.”

Insight: The Hunt
About two weeks ago, The Hunt was announced to the world. This new video contest, similar to the Aspire videos from back in the day, comes with a hefty prize of $5,000 cash to the winner. After reading the interview on Defgrip, I still had some questions about the new project headed by Justin Kosman. I got ahold of him and shot a few questions his way to fill in the questions I felt were unanswered. Let’s see what he had to say…

ESPN – Zac Costa Profile
Zac Costa has a real interesting interview up over on ESPN. He talks about being a scientist (really, he is one) among other things. Take a look.
ESPN – Larry Edgar – Jarupa Park
Two in a row from the lens of Dylan Pfohl. Here’s some footage of Larry Edgar riding the Compound and Jarupa Park in California. Here’s a little bit about the video by Dylan…
“Larry Edgar is a crazy kid, from running around like a crab pinching everyone, to flairing six-feet out of quarters, to spinning 360s that might as well be flips. This kid has more energy than almost anyone and goes higher than almost anyone. I didn’t get to film with Larry as much as I would have liked because ironically, when I was out in California, he came out to Colorado to ride with Matt Cordova. The few sessions we did get at the Compound and Jarupa parks were pretty amazing though. Check out Larry’s riding above.” – ESPN
DuFFS Houston Trip
“Earlier this year, the DuFFS BMX team, consisting of Jimmy Levan, Jake Seeley, Alex Magallan and Kevin Porter, departed on a team trip that was supposed to wound through Houston, Texas and continue on into the deep South. Unexpectedly, the team never made it past Houston.
Instead, they remained in the Bayou City, and rediscovered what Houston had to offer. In the above video, the DuFFS gets it done on Houston soil. The trip is also depicted in issue 150 of Ride UK Magazine (Kevin Porter wrote the story and Walter Pieringer shot the photos), which is on newsstands now. Video courtesy of the DuFFS BMX crew.” – ESPN
