Matt Brown met up with Madera‘s Jeff Kocsis at his local spot in Clifton, New Jersey. Matt talks a little bit about the spot and then gets some riding time in for this new ESPN edit.
TJ Ellis – Pre-Knee Surgery Session
“I didn’t get to film with 24-year-old TJ Ellis as much as we both would have liked, due to unpredictable So Cal weather and some other factors. But we did manage to get some good footage. In this edit, TJ flows around Mike Lakins and Luke Parslow’s trails, the Compound and Clairemont skatepark. And just after filming wrapped up, TJ underwent knee surgery. He will be rehabbing for the next few months so this might be the last footage you see of him for a while.” – ESPN / Dylan Pfohl
ESPN – Casselberry Trails Session Gallery
Keith Terra spent some time at the Casselberry trails in Florida shooting with Mark Mulville, Mike Cottle, Trey Jones and more. There’s a photogallery from the day up on ESPN that’s worth a look! Get to it.
ESPN – John Povah – The Role of a Pro in BMX
ESPN asked Etnies team manager some questions about what defines a “pro” in BMX. John makes some pretty valid points and might give some insight to the kids out there who are looking to make it to that level. In other Povah news, I’ve got him some questions as well to talk about his job as a team manager and what that entails. Expect that soon as well!
Lino Gonzalez – BMX Artifacts – Part 1
“Animal team rider Lino Gonzalez is still a relatively young face on the BMX scene, but he’s been around for years, rising from a young flatland rider on the New England scene to one of the most respected names on the street riding scene today.
Because Lino’s been around the block more than a few times, he’s got an archive of goods that relate to his BMX days, including magazine photos, 2-Hip catalogs and more, which he shares with us in the above video. And this is only part one. Check back next week for part two. Video by Joe Cookie.” – ESPN
ESPN – Drew Hosselton – This is Awkward
Bink caught up with Drew Hosselton and got him to reluctantly answer some questions on camera. Drew also produces a bunch of real good clips for this new ESPN edit.
Chris Doyle Bike Check
ESPN caught up with Chris Doyle to take a closer look at his bike. Give it a look by hitting that link. Plenty of seat post to work with.
ESPN – Kevin Porter Profile
“ESPN dropped this new edit that Tom Arkus put together. The profile covers all things Kevin Porter as of late!
“Kevin Porter: where to begin? Throughout his professional career, he’s done it all, from competing in Dew Tours to attempting one of the first 1080s to innovating new, tech street moves such as the hippie-hop. But there’s much more to Kevin Porter than BMX adaptability. He’s an original, and he has a desire to push himself on a regular basis in all facets of life. Of course, a description of Kevin Porter wouldn’t be complete without mentioning his gift for gab.
Kevin is always down to talk about almost anything. And as Kevin’s new signature DuFFS shoe arrives in stores, I felt it was a good time to touch base with Kevin and see what’s new in his pro career. This is Kevin Porter, at home in the dead of a typical Chicago winter.
