Etnies – Chase Hawk Score Colorway

February 25, 2020

Get a look at the new Chase Hawk colorway for the Etnies Score shoe…

Etnies Chase Hawk Score Shoe BMX

It has been a minute since we’ve seen some fresh BMX colorways from Etnies! Here’s a look at the new Chase Hawk signature colorway for the Etnies Score shoe. Available in an Olive / White / Gum combo, the shoe has an outsole made with a Michelin Performance rubber compound that is strong and durable and a multi-directional tread for flexibility and plenty of pedal grab. Inside you can find the Foam Lite 1 insole with the EVA midsole, a thinly padded tongue and collar lining with a mesh tongue and perforated quarter panel for breathability and a one-piece toe so you don’t have to worry about things tearing apart early up front.

The Score is a clean looking shoe that can handle what you’re throwing down, and Chase Hawk digs it, too! Available through BMX shops and mail-orders like Source BMX that carry Etnies worldwide or direct from the Etnies Webstore for $71.99 in sizes 7-13 now!

Note: This post contains affiliate links and we could receive a small commission that supports this site if you were to buy these shoes from Etnies or Source BMX. We would never recommend a product unless we were completely stoked on it.

Etnies Malaysia – Idham Ahmad

October 5, 2019

Here’s a fresh video we had sent in featuring Idham Ahmad going to work on a bunch of street spots over in Malaysia for Etnies! Idham put together a bunch of grinds, spins and jibbier lines together on the spots he cruised, making for a solid BMX video. Take a look!

“Riding edit from Idham Ahmad for Etnies Malaysia under NZ Skateshop. Shredding at the local street spot somewhere in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Enjoy this 1 minute 50 sec video. Cheers…

Etnies In BCN

April 29, 2019

It has been a minute since we’ve seen a video from the Etnies crew. Some of the European team made their way to Barcelona, Spain to soak up the sunshine and spots, while stacking clips along the way. Here’s a look at what Felix Prangenberg, Ben Lewis, Daniel Portorreal, Miki Fleck, Phil Martin and Jordan O’Kane got into during their stay. You better believe these guys stacking some real dialed clips. Check it out!

“Our DIG Territories series continues with a special trip with etnies to every street riders favorite destination – Barcelona. The crew consisted of Felix Prangenberg, Barca veteran Benny L, Daniel Portorreal, BCN resident Miki Fleck and first-timers Phil Martin and Jordan Okane – all with DIG’s Peter Adam at the helm of the production duties. Needless to say it turned into a ‘Audio Visual’ delight. Sit back and enjoy 12 minutes of wild moves and narration from the crew and make sure you watch all the way through for a ridiculous ender from Jordan on a classic Barca spot!” – DIG

John Povah No Longer Etnies Team Manager

July 6, 2018

Well, here’s some pretty insane news. It looks like after 16 years, John Povah is no longer the team manager for the Etnies BMX program. We’ve been hearing there have been some changes and shake ups going around at Etnies for a while, and this is probably the biggest news that we’ve seen come out of it. John has been the key role in creating some of the best teams in BMX over that time span, produced a few videos you may have heard of for Etnies like “Forward“, “Grounded” and “Chapters“, bringing on riders like Taj Mihelich, Joe Rich and Ruben Alcantara to guys like Aaron Ross and Nathan Williams, and has been behind making a lot of great things happen for the brand and BMX in general. It sounds like John is leaving on a fairly positive note, but it doesn’t sound like he has a for sure plan of what’s next. We would imagine now that the news is out, it won’t be long before he gets a few offers. We’ll have to see what comes from this. Check out the post from his Instagram to bring the news…

Man, that seriously went by in the blink of eye !! 16 years in the bag and now on to a new chapter. I can’t thank @etnies enough for everything you’ve done for me, you’ve had an immeasurable impact on my life. You taught me a lot, you’ll always be part of who I am, I’m forever grateful. Thank you for allowing me to be an integral part of a brand with so much passion, it’s awesome, an amazing era in BMX and exciting to be a part of, BMX is definitely better for the brand being involved in it. And thank you to everyone in BMX who’s been supportive of me and what I brought to the #etnies brand in my time there, I’m humbled. There’ve been so many great times, memorable trips, accolades and so much achieved, I’ve honestly lost count, and with some of the best riders in the game, period ! Along with too many smart and talented people behind the scenes over the years to count, I’ll definitely miss that feeling of excitement for a new project and accomplishments that come with it, we were a great team. I’m excited to see what’s next for the brand, I’m sure it’ll be next-level as always. But as for me, I’ll be on the sidelines with etnies for a short while longer, at least for the next couple of months as a consultant, doing social media etc, but after that ? …. I’m excited and anxious for what the future holds ?? . . Much love ❤️

Etnies – Buy A Shoe, Donate A Shoe

March 26, 2018

Time for a new pair of shoes? Now through Friday, every pair of shoes Etnies sells, they will donate a pair to the homeless!

Etnies Buy Shoe Donate Shoe Deal

If you are due for a new pair of shoes, and you have been trying to find a way to give back to those less fortunate than you, this is the time to pick up a new pair of Etnies. Now through Good Friday (This Friday), every pair of shoes that Etnies sells, they will be giving a pair to one of the homeless in downtown Los Angeles. This is a program Etnies have been doing for 20 years now and they’ve given away 47,000 pairs of shoes. That’s pretty amazing. You can learn more about the program below, or you can head over to the Etnies website to pick out a pair or a few for yourself. Every pair you pick up, a free pair will be donated.

–

“Since 1998, etnies has given away 47,000 pairs of shoes to those who need it most.

When etnies CEO Pierre-Andre Senizergues arrived in America to pursue his dream to skate, he found himself homeless on the streets of Venice, California. It wasn’t long before the skateboarder turned pro, but he never forgot his experience or lost his connection with people on the streets. That’s why etnies works each year with Los Angeles Mission to donate thousands of pairs of shoes to residents of Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, the nation’s largest concentration of homeless people living and sleeping on public sidewalks.

“Even before arriving in LA, I shared the cobblestone streets of Paris with homeless people who had no other place to go,” Pierre-Andre recalls. “I gave them what I could – the sweatshirt I was wearing or other clothes – but I never could hand over my shoes. I realized then that we had so much in common, both dependent upon the streets and needing durable shoes to protect our feet. As soon as I could with etnies, I vowed to give back to the people who share the streets with skateboarders as a way of expressing our solidarity with them as neighbors and offering them some comfort and protection.”

Since starting the give-back program in 1998, etnies has donated 47,000 pairs of shoes worth $2.8 million in retail value. To fulfill this initiative, etnies partners with Los Angeles Mission, which has provided help, hope and opportunity to men, women and children in need for 80 years.

Starting today until Good Friday, for every pair of shoes purchased on etnies.com, etnies will donate a pair of shoes to the homeless at the Los Angeles Mission during their Easter event on Skid Row.”
