It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these “The Art Of” pieces, so we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at one part in particular that we’ve been thinking about lately, the BMX Sprocket. The other day we were bouncing around to a few different brands websites to see if there were any new products or anything else new to see, and we ended up staring at the sprockets. When you think about it, the sprocket is one of those things that can really be altered the most as far as aesthetics go. We’ve seen A LOT of sprockets in BMX’s history, so we decided to stick to sprockets that are currently available. Even with cutting it back to that, there’s still a ton of options available. Add in the different combos between the standard bolt drive, Spline drive, and socket drive, colors, versions with guards, etc. There’s a lot to take in. We bounced around and picked out some of our favorites from a number of brands, which you can check out below with a few words about each! Ready?
Here’s one from a trip to Arizona some of the Fit Bike Co. team took to Arizona a little while back! This starts out with a wild ledge ride and doesn’t slow down until the end! Amazing riding and spots in this. Get on it!

Such a rad and diverse crew of riders putting their mark on the many amazing spots that AZ has to offer. From technical to unorthodox to pegless and straight up gnarly, these dudes have you covered.
“The trip was outta hand from the beginning with minimal planning and last minute changes. Begin, Austin Aughinbaugh, and myself were the only riders able to make it and Chris Mortenson jumped in last minute to shoot photos. We headed to Vegas and picked up Troy Blair from a realities house on the way. Malouf was the man behind the camera and giving us a place to stay and he made sure that good times were had from Vegas to AZ on and off the bikes. Tony and The gully factory house and affiliate Reed Stark had the Fit crew in the best of vibes and led to never ending jokes. From the partying to the jokes to the riding everything got outta hand and as I write this we are all in a group message trying to plan another trip out to AZ.” – Morgan Long

What you probably didn’t know is that clip was years in the making. Get a little insight from Van on just how long it took and what motivated him to get it done first try when he got the chance!

It’s no surprise then that we have a second Ender Ender feature with Van, this time from last year’s Holy FIT DVD and that bonkers up rail to gap over pegs into the bank. Two in a row from Chris Moeller this morning! Here we have a look at the seat stay tubing being bent for the Brian Foster frame from Fit Bike Co. at the S&M Bikes warehouse out in California. Another one of those not so crazy videos, but still interesting to see. You would think it would be a fancier machine, but it looks to be pretty much man power, a little machine power and leverage to make it happen. It’s also interesting since this is just one small part of the frame building process. We’re loving these behind the scenes production clips!
It’s always a good day when some fresh Jordan Hango footage surfaces online. The crew over at Fit Bike Co. just dropped three minutes of rail destruction, wall rides, gaps and drops for your viewing pleasure from the Canadian! Hit play and enjoy!
