Spotted this gem over on Flat-Matters. Adam Kun wanted to end his already good year on a high note, so he dropped this last edit for you guys to get stoked on. Take a peek for some flatland goodness.
Brian Tunney – 90’s Edit
Here’s an oldie I spotted over on Brian Tunney’s personal site, Assblasters. His long time friend, Adam Guild, put together this video over 10+ years ago and in that time it was transfered from VHS to DVD, and from DVD to now Vimeo. Definitely pretty crazy to think Brian was riding long before about 95%+ of us. Awesome.
PRLBMX – Adrian “Lowka” Lokajtis
Spotted this gem over on Flat-Matters. Check out this new video featuring Adrian “Lowka” Lokajtis laying down some awesome flatland riding. This one is also real clean in the filming and editing department which is always a plus. Doing it for Proltaryat BMX
G-Shock – Real Toughness: Tokyo
Spotted this one up on Flat-Matters. The G-Shock Real Toughness world tour recently stopped in Tokyo where they threw a hell of a flatland contest. Check out some of the riding along with get a feel for what it was like to be there. This is awesome.
Sam Foakes – Manchester Edit
When Effraim from Flat-Matters sends over a video, it’s usually real good. This one definitely is pretty crazy. How the hell does he ride in the rain like that? It’s gotta be slippery as hell.
Filmed and edited by James White
Scott O’Brien @ New Orleans City Park
I’m a sucker for well filmed and edited flatland edits. The riding is crazy already, but a smooth and sharp edit makes that much better. Spotted this one of Scott O’Brien on Flat-Matters that’s definitely worth a look.
“Scott has been a big inspiration in my riding for many years; more than he even knows. Back in the day, Scott rode everything and when he showed up at contests he would bust out and hand out flat/street style to many. I even judged a dirt jumping contest Scott rode in were he pulled a tree ride in his run.#sick Today he’s know for his MC work at flatland contests, but to me he will always be an all around rider, with a bag of tricks that only a few of us remember and get to see. This edit is only a few tricks what he currently works on, but I hope to document more of his riding in the next few years. Scott’s passion and unique style for this sport is a true asset to all of us. Always fun hanging out Scott!” – Rob
Matthias Dandois On Haro Bikes
After parting ways with Ares about a week ago, it looks like Matthias Dandois had a new deal lined up with Haro. Head over to Flat-Matters to get the full story.
Don’t forget to check out this weeks Through The Lens featuring Matthias as well!
Freegun – Tyler Gilliard Welcome Edit
It looks like Freegun have added flatlander, Tyler Gilliard, to their line up. Check out this awesome welcome edit loaded with some real clean riding.
“Freegun is happy to announce Tyler Gilliard as the newest flatland rider on our BMX team! Tyler has traveled the world with his bike, but still calls the small town of Lakeland, Florida his home. For this welcome to the team edit Tyler hit up all of his favorite riding spots ranging from a torn down building to a warehouse that is home to a supersonic jet. Tyler has been killing it for the better half of a decade and recently made the well-timed move up to the pro class. We can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store for him… Welcome to the Freegun family, Tyler!”
