Hammer & Nails Fest 2024 – Wall of Death

Check out what went down during the Wall of Death jam at the Hammer & Nails Fest!

This past weekend the Hammer & Nails Fest 2024 went down over in Germany. During the even they threw a jam on this crazy Wall of Death. Essentially a super narrow vert wall with a tight transition. Although the ramp was pretty hard to ride, these guys were able to throw down some crazy moves. Check out what went down in this video from Freedom BMX. What a start! The first item on the program at the Hammer & Nails Fest 2024 was a best trick contest and a highest wall to fakie battle on the Wall of Death.

This was built especially for the event and, at 4.5 meters (including 3 m vertical), almost reached the ceiling of Hall 59 in Cologne. Here are the highlights!

Ultimate X 2024 – Practice Highlights

The Ultimate X contest is going down in Cape Town this weekend!

This weekend is the 2024 Ultimate X contest in Cape Town, South Africa! With some of the best ramp riders in the world making the trip down, you already know it’s going to be a wild one. Alex Kennedy and Joe Jarvis in Frankfurt!

Whenever you get two guys like Alex Kennedy and Joe Jarvis together for a day of riding, you know there’s going to be bangers. Here’s a look at what they got into while cruising spots around Frankfurt, Germany this past summer!

“Winter is a great time to catch up on work left behind over the summer – like this “Two Dudes, One Day” edit with Alex Kennedy and Joe Jarvis.

After the Eurobike BMX festival in the Hafenpark, the two English éclat riders spent another day in Frankfurt to check out a few spots in the city. Here is her collection of clips that are extremely worth seeing. YEWW!

Nico Van Loon – Fracture

Nico Van Loon throws down on the streets of Germany!

Here’s a fresh video packed with dialed riding from Nico Van Loon for your viewing pleasure. This one was a year in the making, and Nico crushed rails, stair sets and so much more. Get on that play button because this does not disappoint.

“At the freedombmx Awards 2023 in Cologne we showed some new videos, all of which made the packed Trash Chic completely freak out. Like Nico van Loon’s new edit for Fracture, which has now found its way onto the internet.

Nico stacked clips for this for 12 months. You would think that would be enough time. But because his filmmaker, Felix Prangenberg, was traveling a lot, the two of them were only able to meet for about 10 film sessions. The fact that there were still tons of good clips shows once again what a badass Nico is. He just throws out the most violent things like it’s nothing.

Add to that one or two guests from Fabian Bongers, Linda Grabner, Tom Weikert, Anton Arens and Dima Prykhodko as well as some great video effects and you have a great BMX video.

In short: Clear case for candidate for street driver and video part of the year 2024!

Aichwald Trails Jam 2023

The annual Aichwald Trails jam went down over in Germany recently with a big turn out of riders from Pros to the locals and more. Here’s a video Freedom BMX dropped giving us a look at the riding and good times that were had. This place looks like so much fun to ride!

Colony – Marcel Gans “No Transition”

Marcel Gans goes to work on the streets of Germany!

It’s always awesome seeing a rider that’s primarily known for riding one type of riding, completely crush it in another. Marcel Gans went to work on street spots over in Germany, and s expected the guy can definitely throw down just as hard on street as he does on ramps. Hit play to take it all in!

“Marcel Gans is usually known primarily as a transition rider. But because he could use a little variety, he thought outside the box for his new video. And lo and behold, you can also ride BMX fast on the street!

The @ColonyBMXBrand rider filmed most of the clips for “No’Transition” during his master’s thesis. A fair amount of desire to switch off from the stress of university every now and then also played a role in the creation of this video.

The result is really impressive – and not just for a “transition guy”! It definitely didn’t hurt that Marcel changed his perspective and tried out an approach to BMX that was new to him. Although, his rims certainly have a different opinion…

Max Esser – Sunny Days

Max Esser takes advantage of some sunny day sessions!

Freedom BMX dropped this new one featuring Max Esser going to work on street spots around Aachen, Germany where he came up with a bunch of dialed lines and combos.

“Even though Max Esser works full time and also has a part-time job, he has somehow found the time in the past few months to stack a lot of extremely stable clips for Giano Vacca’s camera. Respect for that!
