Haro BMX – Mike Gray 2018 Video

January 12, 2018

Mike Gray coming through with a banger for Haro Bikes!

It’s always a good day when Mike Gray has some fresh footage to check out. Haro just released Mike’s new 2018 video and it’s loaded with crazy riding from heavy roof drops and big gaps to crazy nose balance, grinds and freecoaster action. This has a pretty chill vibe rom the song selection, but don’t let that fool you. This is a must see BMX video that you won’t want to pass up!

“Mike Gray searched the streets from San Diego to Toronto looking for spots to film his unique blend of huge gaps and technical grind and manual combos. No roof, rail, ledge or bank is safe in this mind melting street edit. Mike teamed up with San Diego’s filming phenom, Doeby Huyn and the two put together quite the visual treat for us to watch, get motivated, and go ride!

Colin Mackay Leaves Haro Bikes After 12 Years

December 29, 2017

After 12 years as a rider and team manager, Colin Mackay has decided to leave Haro Bikes…

Colin Mackay Leaves Haro Bikes

The 2018 sponsor and brand change ups continue! The other week we found out that Tyler Fernengel and Jason Watts are Off Haro , now it looks like long time pro team rider turned team manager, Colin Mackay, has left his role at Haro Bikes to wrap up the year. No word on why, but it does sound like Colin might have something cooking already to start the new year on a better note.

“After 12 years with Haro, first as a pro team rider and then as team manager, the time has come for us to part ways. I am grateful to have met some of my best friends and to have had the opportunity to travel the world and create amazing memories. Looking forward to 2018!” – Colin Mackay

Tyler Fernengel and Jason Watts OFF Haro

December 12, 2017

The 2018 Sponsor shake ups begin with a serious bang… Tyler Fernengel and Jason Watts are no longer riding for Haro! Both riders have announced that they will be stepping down from the team after around 4 years on the team for both. Based off the Instagram posts, it sounds like it was their decisions to step down, we’re just not sure what spurred the decision.

Pretty crazy to say this but I have decided that I will no longer be riding for @harobmx. It was a dream come true and fun while it lasted. Some things have changed and I feel this is the best decision for me now. I want to thank @colinmackaybmx for making it into a family instead of a sponsor, but it just doesn’t feel right if we all aren’t together. Here’s to never looking back, not worrying about the future, and living in the moment. ❤️

Could we see more riders leaving the Haro team in 2018? Tyler does hint that “it just doesn’t feel right if we all aren’t together“… Tyler leaves his recently released signature TF frame behind with the decision.

End of an amazing adventure riding for Haro bikes as I've decided to no longer ride for @harobmx can't thank everyone enough at Haro for all the amazing times and help they have giving me over the last 4 years it was one hell of a time ???

John Buultjens “Ride: BMX Glory, Against All the Odds” Book Out Now

November 16, 2017

The book telling the story of Haro Brand manager, John Buultjens, has just been released as a book, ahead of the full-length feature film…

Ride: BMX Glory Against All Odds John Buultjens Book

Anyone who has spent some time with John Buultjens knows he has one hell of a story and it’s an absolutely incredible one. What you might not know about the Haro Bikes Brand Manager is that he had a hell of a life growing up, leading him down the path to where he is today. There’s a full on movie about his story coming, but they just released the book to tell the story as well and it’s available NOW! Get the details below.

“Ride lays bare the harrowing beginnings and the tough life lessons learned by John Buultjens on his rise to BMX Glory, Against All the Odds. Raised by his poor family on Glasgow’s Drumchapel estate, he slept rough to escape his violent father’s beatings. Placed in a children’s home by his mother, he was then adopted by a bi-racial couple. After conquering his own racism, his life turned around, and the blockbuster movie E.T. inspired a love of BMX. Although spurred by bitterness, John’s emigration to Australia saw him take his sporting enthusiasm to new levels. Then came the call from California to lead Haro BMX. As their global brand manager, he now backs and sponsors riders across the globe. Hollywood has since turned his unbelievable journey into a movie, set for release in March 2018. Here, John reveals inner secrets including family murders, hatred, sexual abuse – and how his white-knuckle ride has taken him to the top against all the odds.”

The book is available now for $19.99 right here!

Haro Bikes have added Bora Altintas to their line up in Turkey! Above is his official welcome video that is a mix of street and ramp riding. Josh de Reus On Haro Bikes

October 15, 2017

It looks like Josh de Reus is following the steps of Chad Kerley and Mike Gray…

What better way to get your first Haro frame than from the hands of @ryannyquist. New Zealand’s Josh de Reus (@joshdbmx) is on the @premiumbmx_ team and we decided to get him on a Haro frame / Premium parts deal to sync up with @chadkerley and @mikegraybmx. Josh, Chad and Mike head on a @premiumbmx_ trip to Northern California next week. Look for content from those guys soon and welcome to Haro Josh!

A post shared by Haro Bikes (@harobmx) on Oct 14, 2017 at 1:05pm PDT

Haro Bikes have added Josh de Reus to their line up! Similar to how Chad Kerley and Mike Gray went from riding fully for Premium on over to Haro with Premium parts, Josh will be on the same program! To kick things off, they had Ryan Nyquist hook Josh up with a new CK Frame. This should mean that we’ll be seeing more from Josh here in the near future. It also makes us wonder if Premium will be transitioning to just a parts brand in the future. I guess we’ll find out if Stephon Fung and Blake Peters make the same transition since everyone else on the Premium team have made the switch on over to Haro with Premium parts. We have a feeling that might just be coming sooner than later.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!

Haro – Bora Altintas Welcome Video

October 6, 2017

Haro have a new addition to their team over in Turkey..

We don’t see a ton of footage coming out of Turkey, but it’s safe to say there’s a growing scene over there. Haro have added Bora Altintas to their lineup over there. Above is a short but sweet welcome video featuring Bora going to work on a few street spots and his local skatepark to bring the news!
