One thing we really like about doing The Union lately is having the chance to watch a lot of talented riders putting out their own series of videos that are more than just trick, trick, trick and trick. We get to see a lot of personalities and get a little glimpse into how other BMX riders are living their lives. Thanks to Youtube, this has been increasingly more and more popular and it seems like every day there’s a new channel to subscribe to. One rider in particular that really has caught our attention lately is Jay Dalton, between his less than serious approach to BMX and his undoubtable talent to go from jib tricks like peg chings to hucking backflip tailwhips, you don’t really quite know what you’re going to see when he drops a new video. We were curious jus what Jay’s story was, so we hit him with some questions. Let’s see what he had to say!

Jay Dalton and Aaron Simone – Split VX Edit

You know you’re in for a treat when Jay Dalton drops a new video. Here’s a mix of street and park action that Jay and Aaron Simone got into with the help of Javaun Crane-Bonnell behind the lens. This has a TON of damn good riding with a less than serious vibe. Check this BMX video out, because it does not disappoint.

Jay Dalton and Aaron Simone teamed up for a split edit where they cruised some of their local street spots and skateparks around Connecticut. Both of these guys have a big bag of tricks and very different styles which makes for a real solid BMX video worth checking out!

Jay Dalton VS Spencer Foresman – Game of B-I-K-E: Round 2

The other week we got to see the first round of Jay Dalton and Spencer Foresman’s Game of B-I-K-E, now this week we get to see round two where they go to work on some of the other parts of Woodward East they didn’t touch in the first game. As expected, this is hilarious and there are some creative tricks that go down!

“Watch as Spencer and I once again try to take each other out by doing dumb tricks all over Camp Woodward.

The rules are the same as last time. Each person gets one set at each park (unless both fail their set). In this game we are only allowed to set at parks or locations that weren’t used in the previous game. Each person gets one mulligan and two tries on their last letter. Winner of the game gets a high five.”

How To: Peg Ching with Jay Dalton

Jay Dalton is back with a new video after a little hiatus and he’s making up for it with a how-to video for you guys! If you have ever wanted to learn how to do a peg ching, or chink or chinger — whatever you want to call it, here is your chance as Jay teaches you some tips to take it to curbs, quarters and spines! This is a pretty easy trick that’s more about just getting the right lean versus it being more technical like people think. Hit play on the BMX video, get the tips, see A LOT of examples and then go send a few on your bike!

Jay Dalton Destroys Woodward – More BMX Videos

We are quickly becoming big fans of Jay Dalton after all these BMX videos we’ve been seeing of him lately. Here is a fresh one featuring him getting loose at Woodward East where he brings plenty of style and originality to the ramps. Jay has a real diverse bag of tricks and it will keep you guessing as to what will be coming next from start to finish! Enjoy!

“When Dan Foley first asked me about shooting a video with Jay Dalton, I didn’t even know who he was. Boy, do I feel stupid… This dude is amazing. From super-original technical moves to blasting insanely huge airs, Jay kills every aspect of riding. He’s working at Woodward as an instructor and put in overtime to throw down ridiculous moves for this video. Watch this. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Between instructing at camp and dodging rain all week, Jay Dalton manages to destroy a few of Woodward’s best known parks with his lofty, smooth, and technical style.

Game of BIKE – Jay Dalton VS Spencer Foresman

Jay Dalton and Spencer Foresman recently had themselves a BIG game of BIKE at Woodward East that gave them free reign to throw a trick on any of the ramps in the entire camp, as long as it was under an hour on the clock. Check out what went down in this video and see who took the win!

Games of bike with Spencer are always interesting and I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to record one, but here it is. We tried to make it a little more interesting by not limiting ourselves to just one park or one area. For this game, we made it so that each person has 1 set on a certain park or area. Once both sets are attempted we have to call a trick in a completely different area. It ended up being pretty interesting. What do you think? Should there be a rematch on the parks that we didn’t use? Let us know in the comments below.”
