New England Shop Tour from Sunday Bikes

“During the fall, Aaron Ross, Alex Magallan, Jake Seeley, Scot Draper and Jim Cielencki joined up with Full Factory’s Bobby Parker to visit a bunch of shops and skateparks in New England. From huge games of Footdown to a bunnyhop contest on a 40 lb bike, we had a blast. Thanks to everyone that came out and to these shops Circuit BMX, Dick Maul’s, Fat Trax, Full Circle and the Garden.” – Sunday

Sunday – Sun-Dazed at Woodward West

December 16, 2011

Sun-Dazed at Woodward West from Sunday Bikes

“Last summer’s Sunday Week at Woodward West was a blast. Aaron Ross, Gary Young, Jake Seeley, Eric Lichtenberger, Lee Dennis and Jim Cielencki spent 7 glorious days riding the camp, bouncing on trampolines, jumping Mega Ramp, jumping in foam pits, drinking milkshakes and riding with all the rad campers. Such a good time that I think we are doing it again this summer. Already can’t wait for summer!” – Sunday

Sunday – Baltic Triangle Tour Flipbook + Video

December 6, 2011

SUNDAY BIKES | FACEBOOK | TWITTER

“The plan for the latest Sunday adventure was to have Gary Young and Alex Magallan venture around the Baltic Sea after the Simpel Summer Session contest while Andrew Brady films and I act as a tour guide, second camera angle and a third rider. This idea seemed flawless until Alex Magallan broke his arm a week before the trip. With Alex out, Gary was going to have to make up for it and to no one’s surpirse he did just that.

The tour takes us from Helsinki, Finland to Tallinn, Estonia then overnight to Stockholm, Sweden and finally back to Helsinki. If you’ve never been to this part of the world then do yourself a favor and go. These photos are shot by Gary Young and Andrew Brady.

The Baltic Triange Tour video from the trip will be on the site at 11 am EST time this coming Friday, but if you like our Facebook page then you can watch it right now by clicking HERE.”

Industry: Jim Cielencki

Jim C is a real good example of people in the industry who have worked their way up. Originally starting his career out with Kink as a sponsored rider in 1998 and then joining a few other sponsors over the next years like Odyssey as a professional. As time progressed, he became more and more familiar with how the industry ran, and then in 2005 an opportunity of a lifetime came about; brand manager for a new brand titled “Sunday“. Since then, Sunday has become a worldwide brand, its office has moved from New York to Austin, Texas and more responsibilities have come with the opportunity. I figured it would be a good time to find out a little bit about how Jim landed what many of us would call a dream job and to find out a little bit more about what exactly he does as a “Brand Manager”. Let’s take a look at what he had to say…

Jim Cielencki Bike Check

Jim C’s video bike check from Sunday Bikes

“Check out this video bike check of the new Blue Wave Third Wave with matching Tall T bars and Morning 2.1 forks that I just built up. For some reason, I’ve always liked blue bikes. The prototype for my first signature frame was blue and come to think of it there’s been 4-5 other blue bikes in my past. Right now, I have a blue Wave C built up as well. Well, this bike continues my fascination of blue. Enjoy!” – Jim C / Sunday

Sunday – 2012 Completes Video

2012 Complete Completes – The Video from Sunday Bikes

“Every year we make a video of our team guys riding the bikes from our latest complete bike line. This year we have Alex Magallan, Eric Lichtenberger, Erik Elstran, TJ Henderson, Anthony Wilson, Jim Cielencki and Seth Peterson putting the Aaron Ross EX, Gary Young EX and Forecaster Special to the test. The bikes are only modified by adding pegs and sometimes removing brakes. Straight out of the box, our team easily adpated to the new complete bikes simply because they feel and work the same as their personal bikes. We still make the most complete complete bikes out there. Available later this month.” – Sunday
