James Newrick “NSF2” Section

March 29, 2016

What were you doing 14 years ago? Well, if you are James Newrick, you would have been putting in work on street spots an skateparks over in the U.K for the “NSF2” video. Fast forward 14 years and Jim just put out part one of Hit The North, still slaying spots with his friends like he was years ago. Hit play and enjoy this classic!

“Anyone around my age with an interest in street riding should be more than familiar with James Newrick’s NSF 2 part, which was released on VHS in 2002. Even now, whenever I hear that Peter Hook bassline on Joy Division’s Shadowplay it makes me want to go and hop something in a bleak Northern setting. The BMX world has changed so much since NSF 2 that it’s hard to explain how sacred BMX videos such as this were.” – James Cox / DIG BMX

Grande Gracias to everyone who showed me and Tim a good time in Seville, especially Andreas and Fernando. Also, thanks to the super cool guy who uploaded a complete game of Donkey Kong to Youtube, and his pal who uploaded every sound in the game. Who does that?

Pedal. Adapt. Observe. Repeat

November 5, 2013

Jim Newrick is pretty well known for some pretty influential BMX videos over the years… As you can imagine, his ability to produce a quality film goes beyond BMX as well. Recently, he spent 10 days in New York where he documented the things he came across using his dictaphone and super 8 film camera. This is the video he came home with. There’s no BMX in this, but still well worth a look!
