”Distanced is a project I’ve been filming for the past few years with riders from all over the country. It originally began as a New York City video and quickly grew into a larger project after a few trips to Miami and southern California. It’s so wild a bike can connect you to so many people around the country – big thanks to anyone who bought a DVD or supported the project in the past few months!!” – Sam Downs

Wethepeople – Joeri Veul “Memories”

October 15, 2021

It has been a little while since we’ve seen Joeri Veul‘s name pop up, and now we know why! Joeri’s been healing up from a brain hemorrhage that has sidelined him for a while! Fortunately it sounds like he’ll be okay, but it might be a while before he can get back on the bike. Until then, here’s a fresh video with some clips he was sitting on for Wethepeople. As always, Joeri delivers with the good stuff! Take a peek!

“One of our favourite guys out there, Wethepeople rider Joeri Veul filmed this video shortly before he suffered a brain haemorrhage last year. Joeri is taking some time away from riding whilst he recovers but managed to put together this video with a few clips of his homies in The Netherlands to finish it off. Much love and respect to Joeri for pushing through the tough times and staying motivated. We can’t wait to see you back on a bike soon Joeri!” – Wethepeople

“Back in September 2020 I suffered from an acute brain haemorrhage. Suddenly I was not able to ride my BMX anymore, something I built my life around over the past 13 years. Before this happened I was always out looking for spots, filming and hanging out with friends who also happen to ride bikes… I always enjoyed filming or being filmed, as you can push each other to battle against a trick you have in mind. Besides that, filming also encapsulates the whole scene surrounding that trick. The random encounters with strangers on the streets, the many flat tires that were had that day, or whatever funny situation you happen to get in with friends. It’s a compilation of lifelong memories you shared with friends. This video is just that: a compilation of memories that we gathered just before I got the haemorrhage. I hope to create many more when I’m able to ride in a few years again. – Joeri Veul

Filmed by Frank Nabuurs, Twan van Wijk, Kamiel Geus, Sharvan Debi-Tewari, Jessie Dinkelaar, Sylvester, Halux Visions, Ivan Veul and Joeri Veul. Edited by Joeri Veul.

Wethepeople – Joeri Veul “Colors”

April 17, 2020

If you’re looking for some color in your life, this new Joeri Veul video for Wethepeople will undoubtably do the trick for you! Joeri spent a year searching out spots with plenty of color to get his sessions on, stacking clips all along the way. Joeri crushes it and we’re really digging the mission he went on to give this video a little extra flavor.

“Get ready for a colorful masterpiece from Dutch Wethepeople rider Joeri Veul. Joeri spent the past year tracking down some of the most colorful and unique Street spots across Europe for his first Wethepeople video. Joeri’s unique blend of smooth but technical riding makes this video part an absolute visual treat.

Joeri Veul & Albert Meijer “On The Go”

June 26, 2019

You cannot go wrong with a trip to the East Coast (unless it’s winter time) if you’re looking for some amazing spots. Soulcycle‘s Joeri Veul and Albert Meijer recently took a trip over to see what it was all about for themselves. Hit play to check out this real solid video packed with clips from their time crusing spots galore!

“Albert and me (Joeri) always wanted to visit the East Coast of the US, as we were attracted by the rawness of the spots, the always on the go mentality exploring what the cities have to offer and of course the immense skyscrapers. As I graduated my Master’s earlier this year and Albert had plenty of holidays left we decided to cut the knot and book our tickets for three weeks of just riding and seeing what the East Coast is all about. Thanks a lot to everyone we met who showed us a good time, especially the Chocolate Truck and Meseroll shop crews! Enjoy this little video with clips we filmed as we were “on the go”. Peep more footage from the trip dropping sooner or later!
