Kevin Porter gets a quick session in at Wilson Skatepark back on Easter sunday, followed up by a quick coffee session. Brought to you by the Blacklist and Quintin.
Today, Nike 6.0 dropped Harry Main and Brian Kachinsky’s teams for The Pool. It looks like Harry Main went with some of the new guys who have been blowing things up lately, and Brian went with experience. This is going to get interesting. Regardless, I want to be at this event. Hey, Nike my calender is open those days.
1. Harry Main (UK)
2. Alex Coleborn (UK)
3. Ben Wallace (UK)
4. Kyle Baldock (AUS)
1. Brian Kachinsky (US)
2. Chris Doyle (US)
3. Kevin Porter (US)
4. Tony Hamlin (US)
Tomorrow they will drop Garrett Reynolds and Sebastian Keep’s choices. I’ve got a few names in mind for Dennis’ team, Ty Morrow and Augie Simoncini are on my list… Did Ty get picked yet?
“Earlier this year, the DuFFS BMX team, consisting of Jimmy Levan, Jake Seeley, Alex Magallan and Kevin Porter, departed on a team trip that was supposed to wound through Houston, Texas and continue on into the deep South. Unexpectedly, the team never made it past Houston.
Instead, they remained in the Bayou City, and rediscovered what Houston had to offer. In the above video, the DuFFS gets it done on Houston soil. The trip is also depicted in issue 150 of Ride UK Magazine (Kevin Porter wrote the story and Walter Pieringer shot the photos), which is on newsstands now. “ESPN dropped this new edit that Tom Arkus put together. The profile covers all things Kevin Porter as of late!
“Kevin Porter: where to begin? Throughout his professional career, he’s done it all, from competing in Dew Tours to attempting one of the first 1080s to innovating new, tech street moves such as the hippie-hop. But there’s much more to Kevin Porter than BMX adaptability. He’s an original, and he has a desire to push himself on a regular basis in all facets of life. Of course, a description of Kevin Porter wouldn’t be complete without mentioning his gift for gab.
Kevin is always down to talk about almost anything. And as Kevin’s new signature DuFFS shoe arrives in stores, I felt it was a good time to touch base with Kevin and see what’s new in his pro career. This is Kevin Porter, at home in the dead of a typical Chicago winter.
