GT BMX – Vantastic Voyage

July 19, 2018

The GT team loaded up for a road trip down the East Coast to Florida!

Here’s a video we’ve been looking forward to seeing! Back in February the GT Bicycles team loaded up for a road trip down the East Coast to Florida for the FloriDeah Swampest and to ride plenty of spots and skateparks in the area. Here’s a video filled with dialed clips the crew stacked throughout the trip! As always, it looks like the crew had a great time on and off their bikes! Check it!

“The GT team made their Vantastic Voyage down the east coast to Florida for warm weather, cool spots, fun parks, and Swamp Fest. It was a motley crew consisting of Brian Kachinsky, Albert Mercado, Dan Conway, Leandro Moreira, Jeff Ludwig, Kody Bricen and Jordan Grandinetti shredding all sorts of terrain and having an awesome time!” – Ride BMX

“Come along on a Vantastic Voyage with GT Bikes’ Brian Kachinsky, Albert Mercado, Dan Conway, Leandro Moreira, Jeff Ludwig, Kody Bricen and Jordan Grandinetti as they head to Florida with their final destination, Swamp Fest! Filmed and edited by Andrew Brady. For more updates from the road check out the tag #gtvantasticvoyage.” — Ben Ward, GT

First Ever Fakie to Fakie Front Flip – Kody Bricen

July 20, 2017

It’s kind of crazy to think about the level of riding that BMX is on these days. We’re seeing a lot of tricks that people didn’t think were possible and probably never even imagined or considered. Since the freecoaster took over, there’s been a lot of progression being made when it comes to fakie tricks. We’ve seen guys like Pat Casey and Big Boy send fakie to front flips on quaterpipes before, but we’ve never seen somebody send a fakie front flip over a jump, land fakie and pull the roll out. Kody Bricen decided to set up a kind of ghetto pallet resi / spine setup and see if he could send the trick. Here’s a video showing you a few of the attempts and then ultimately landing the trick. Who would have imagined a trick like this would be going down in somebody’s backyard?

“Little ol’ Kody Bricen with his pile of pallets, resi, and imagination has managed to somewhat pull a fakie-to-fakie frontflip. While it’s on resi and the rollout didn’t appear to happen (from the sound of it, at least), he says he’ll get it done for an edit…” – Ride BMX

Kody Bricen – My BMX Progression

January 13, 2016

It’s always fun looking back on the progression you have made as a rider over the years. Kody Bricen put together this BMX video spanning the last 5 years of his riding from a super make shift foam pit ramp he learned backflips on to where he is currently trying to learn double backflip tailwhips and triple flips! This guy is definitely not scared to huck himself and learn new tricks, even if his training facility is definitely not the safest looking, haha.
