Sam Lowe on Macneil Bikes
I wasn’t sure what Sam’s plan was after he left Wethepeople a few weeks back, but it looks like he was making the move to Macneil. Here’s a few words about the news!
“We’re real excited to announce that we’ve added Sam Lowe to the MacNeil family. It’s awesome to have Sam as part of the team as he’s been good friends with all of us for the longest time and he’s a beast of a rider as you all know. Here’s what Sam had to say about the whole thing…
“I’m super excited to be a part of the MacNeil crew. I’ve been friends with pretty much everyone involved for a long time and it feels good to be behind a brand that is based out of Canada and is making some of the best shit in BMX. We’ve got big plans for the future and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it. Fuck yeah!”
Sam’s currently riding a Borato V2 frame with CKS forks, Stump post and a Fat Capital seat which you can see more of after the jump. Hit up his team page here and keep an eye out for his ‘Welcome to the Team’ edit soon!”
Check out a few photos of his setup right here.
Macneil – Chris Silva & Jeff Kocsis: NY / NJ Photogallery
Head on over to the Macneil website to check out some rad photos Harrison Boyce shot while Chris Silva came down from Canada to ride New York and New Jersey with Jeff Kocsis.
Andrew Lazaruk Bike Check
Head over to the Macneil website to check out some shots of Andrew Lazaruk’s current setup. It looks like they got a little crazy with the sharpen button when editing but that’s a dialed ride!
Macneil – Sick as Hell-O-Ween BBQ Jam Edit
It looks like Macneil lucked out and were able to throw their Sick as Hell-O-Ween BBQ jam this weekend. The turn out wasn’t insane, but it looks like there were good times that were had. After you check out the edit, check out some photos from the day right here!
“We wanted to hold a jam at the Port Coquitlam Skatepark (Railside) this year for Halloween to get people out for some fun. After some re-scheduling due to rainy weather, the jam went down on Sunday, October 28th to a solid crew that enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, and clear skies all afternoon. When the sun started to go down we had a ‘best trick’ on the park rail for a case of beer. Thanks to everyone that helped us out and came out for the event.

Through The Lens – Catching Up with Kevin Kiraly
One of the things that I like most about being a photographer is the fact that I get to build some solid friendships with some goddamn talented riders. Over the years I have met the majority of the best riders in the world and have been lucky enough to shoot with a good amount of them. I have been shooting and chillin’ with Kevin Kiraly for years now and it’s rad to have that feeling of trust when it comes to shooting with certain riders. It’s not easy for a rider to just send themselves without trusting the person behind the lens and building that trust takes time for sure. Once it’s there though it makes things so much easier. I am there to do my job, and the rider is there to do their job and it just works. Anyways, on the way up to shoot this past Dew Tour in San Francisco I stopped and met up with Kevin to work on this week’s column. He recently built up a brand new bike, got on the DC flow team and has been stacking clips for a few video projects so we covered all of that and more right here for TTL #36. Check out the Q&A after the jump then hit the Photogallery to check out a closer look at his bike!
