Jeff Kocsis Off Madera

July 29, 2011

“After a few years of awesome times, it is time for Madera and Jeff Kocsis to part ways. Jeff has been an integral part of the team since he came on board and we are super sad to see him move in a different direction. Jeff, like most riders, is making hard decisions about bmx-life, friends, and relationships and we wish him the best as he looks to make a move for his future. Jeff will still remain our guy and we hope you all still will support his shredding.

As for Madera, we are quite happy with our crew as of right now and are concentrating on continuing to produce new products, high quality edits, and good times. Check out this edit of our last trip with Jeff as most of the Madera team headed down to Memphis over spring break this year. This was already a DIGBMX exclusive, but you can watch it here now. Check it out.” – Madera

Print Ad: Madera Bryce Toole

July 24, 2011

Here’s Madera‘s newest print ad featuring Bryce Toole and their new pivotal seats. Bryce is real good stuff and this is one wild photo. Incase you missed it, here’s his edit from his trip to Latin America that dropped the other day – here.

The Milwaukee Ditch BBQ and Jam

July 22, 2011

“The Ditch is an ancient spot in the Milwaukee scene and soon it will be host to a BBQ and Jam. Unlike other places, our ditches are NEVER dry so if we wish to ride hips and all sorts of cool stuff, we have to deal with the water flow. In the last 10 years, numerous bridges have been built with varied results. This incarnation of the bridge is the smoothest yet and I am hoping my hard work on it and the sub-box will stay in place for a while. I am hoping people will come out and show some support for an awesome but expensive endeavor.” – Mike Hinkens

Madera – Bryce Toole – Latin American Adventure

July 20, 2011

“Madera’s Bryce Toole set off for Latin America in two different trips this summer. This video documents some of the wild experiences he had while cruising countries such as Costa Rica and Guatemala. There is a little bit of riding, but a whole lot more lifestyle stuff showing you life in Central America. Please enjoy this unedited and raw look at Bryce’s adventure.

Quicky: Tom Villarreal

Photobucket

Tom is the kind of rider who absolutely kills it but people seem to always wonder where he is or when his next edit or video part will drop. It sounds like Tom has been hustling real hard to wrap up filming for his section in the Props“Owned” video the last few months while recovering from some injuries and working full-time. I figured it would be a real good time to catch up with him to see what he has been up to and what we can expect from his section in the upcoming release. Let’s see what he had to say…

Native Bikes Now Co-Sponsored by Madera

June 24, 2011

“Madera is proud to announce that we will be officially co-sponsoring the Native BMX team. James Covington of Native has worked hard to build an American-made brand from the ground up: and since both both Native and Madera share the same goals of providing the BMX community with high quality American products (and considering we’ve remained tight with James over the years), we felt honored in the opportunity for collaboration. We plan to get all of Native’s riders some clean new set ups that the can get nice and dirty. Stay tuned for some cool new ideas and some good times.” – Mike Hinkens / Madera TM
