The Albion are going to be releasing each of their past issues online for free. As part of that, they will be uploading some of the interviews featured in the magazine for your viewing pleasure. First up, they’ve got Mat Hoffman‘s interview that is more than an amazing read. If you haven’t seen this, or you already have, I highly suggest you give this a read. You will be sucked in and won’t be able to stop reading.
This website, Lancaster LTD, put together this rad documentary on Evel Knievel and the Snake River Canyon jump that he attempted back in the day. They got Mat Hoffman to give some insight on what he knows and learned from Evel to go with the video which is awesome. You can find more stories and words from Mat about Evel on the We Have Motive site as well. Really awesome.
Mat Hoffman was recently inducted into the National BMX Hall of Fame (surprised it took until now…). Above is a video featuring a few legends from the sport congratulating Mat on this award and then Mat’s speech that he gave when he accepted the award. This is absolutely awesome.
The third episode brings you some sky diving and trails riding from the Red Bull Ride and Seek crew. This trip looks like it was such a good time.
“Watch as the Ride and Seek crew travels through Texas and rip up everything in their path. From an impromptu skydiving trip, to hitting local dirt jumps, to tricking off of the Red Bull Tour bus, nothing is off limits for these guys.”
Sooo psyched on this. Always good to see Mat Hoffman still killing it. Zack Warden drops some real good riding too!
“Mat was so stoked having another vert rider come and shred his ramp with him. With Mat pretty fresh off of knee surgery and Zack just getting to town, this is the warm up session that set the tone for the whole week Zack was in Oklahoma….
Song: Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros-Up From Below
Special thanks to Shaka for making an appearance and chillin with us!”
Ha, damn that is what I’d call close enough.
“The day before the KC trip started everyone just got in town and decided to go play at Mat’s house. Walter and Mat decided to hit up a little over/under which came pretty close to going south. But we wouldn’t have it any other way, right.” – Hoffman
