Pros and Cons with Matt Coplon

If you have been in BMX for a little while, there’s no denying that you have seen Matt Coplon’s name pop up countless times with multiple roles involved from rider to filmer, photographer, team manager and sales. Matt is one of the busiest guys in BMX with all of the hats he wears at Profile Racing and a handful of projects he is involved in beyond that. The guys over at DIG caught up with Matt for a little pro and con action talking about some of his personal “job” titles that he holds. Check that out right here

Matt Coplon – 8 Hours in Tampa

To celebrate his birthday (which is actually today!), Matt Coplon hit the streets of Tampa for a full day of cruising spots, enjoying the sunshine. Check out this rad BMX video that he cooked up from his pre-birthday session on Sunday! Looks like it was a damn good day to us!

“On the cusp of my 38th birthday, I asked Mark Mulville to help film a full day’s session in Tampa.
Each week, on Sunday, I wake up at 7am, am out the door by 9am, and am usually riding no later than half past.
It’s become a ritual.
On turning 38, as it was the same when I was 13, bmx remains therapeutic. Most of the time, in its simplest form: pedaling through the streets away from the grind of the day to day.
To celebrate those coveted hours pedaling through Tampa, I thought it’d be a challenge to make it a full 8 hour session (in 85% humidity and at 95 degrees, you have to take what you get this time of year) and document everything worth grabbing.
What’s left are the clips I was most stoked on. Nothing ground breaking…just a representation of what I look forward to come every Sunday.

Profile Racing – Kent Pearson Always on the Move

You don’t even know how excited we were to wake up to an email from Matt Coplon with a link to the new Kent Pearson Profile Racing video inside! Check out Kent’s latest video packed full of street and skatepark front brake magic that was filmed over the course of last year! This one does not disappoint!

“Kent had asked me at the end of 2014 if I’d be interested in editing some clips for him. Although I immediately said yes, the more I thought about it, the more it stressed me out. And then the clips came on a card, via snail mail, wrapped up perfectly in a little pill box. Dialed. Like everything Kent has his hands in.
The pressure was on…
I’ve always had the utmost respect for Kent: I’m super into his riding, style, progression, and love for bmx…the last thing I wanted to do was to not give his footage justice.
So I dove in, slowly…
Here is a cache of clips filmed throughout 2014. We want to thank Kent for years of support: transcending that notion, we’re proud that he’s part of our family here at Profile.
In Kent’s camera bag, there is a mix of SD cards. The one that captured this footage was titled ‘Always on the Move’….Hence the title.
In the end, I’m stoked on the final piece, and actually had quite a good time putting it together.

Last weekend was the fourth stop of the FLBMX Skatepark Series that stopped in Albacoa skatepark! Although the weather didn’t quite cooperate for part of the day, they were still able to throw an awesome contest that had amazing riding and good vibes! Florida BMX Skatepark Series 2015 – Sarasota Payne Skatepark

The 3rd stop of the 2015 Florida BMX Skatepark Series hit the Sarasota Payne Skatepark for a full day of riding from some of the finest in the area! Check out what went down in all of the classes from the young guns all the way up to the 30+ class! Definitely a lot of riding worth seeing in this!
