Matt Ray – Quarantine Bike Build Session

April 2, 2020

Matt Ray uploaded a fresh little video from some riding time he caught on a sunny day, along with a look at his fresh setup he dialed in with the latest version of his signature MR2 frame that has some new and improved geometry. As always, Matt delivers with some super dialed riding, and the bike looks like a dialed unit as well!

“I met up with Aaron and Maicol at Hadley last week during the quarantine for a little session, I trust that they don’t have coronavirus so it was cool to ride with them. Its strange time right now but being able to ride has made it pretty easy. Hadley has so many lines and watching Maicol ride there really shows whats possible.

I build up my new Subrosa MR2 frame. We changed the geometry a bit but this frame is still just a prototype so we will see how it feels. The stand over was 8.75 on the first version and this frame has a 9″ stand over. The BB height is taller and the drop outs are deeper for more rear end options.
I rode my Subrosa street rail after for a quick little session but plan to film way more on it during this lock down.

November 29, 2019

It has been a while since we’ve seen a proper video from a Subrosa Street Rail session! Here’s a video Subrosa put together featuring their team getting a laidback session in on a few of the rails and extension kits that are available. This is loaded with great riding and a good reminder of some of the setups you can create with the rail and adaptors. Check out the video, then hit up the Subrosa Webstore to get a look at all of the options and pricing. These rails are perfect for a quick driveway session or to mix things up at a spot.

“We had a bunch of Subrosa team riders in town for Sparkys Jam, and around the same time we got a bunch of Subrosa Street Rails in stock at the warehouse.

So we got Simone Barraco, Joris Coulomb, Matt Ray, Trey Jones, Mark Burnett, Bjarki Hardarson, Jiri Blabol, Miguel Smajli, Jabe Jones and Lewis Colascione and caught an afternoon session on each of the Subrosa Street Rail kits to show you some awesome riding, and what the Subrosa Street Rail and all the kits can do.

The rail and kits are available at Subrosa Dealers worldwide and shop.subrosabrand.com”

Shadow Conspiracy X QBP In Oregon

July 8, 2019

The Shadow Conspiracy sent Mark Burnett, Matt Ray, Jabe Jones and Bjarki Hardarson out to Oregon with the QBP crew to hit up a bunch of shops and cruise with the locals! Here’s a video giving us a good look at what the guys got into along the way! If you want to see more, make sure to check out Mark Burnett’s Field Notes: Oregon with QBP video.

“Let’s show some love to local bike shops, and get in some riding while we’re at it. The plan was simple but the outcome was distinct. QBP, one of Shadow’s distributors in the US, wanted to bring the Shadow team out to Oregon to support a few shop events and hang out with the local riders. Mark Burnett, Matt Ray, Jabe Jones, and Bjarki Hardarson were all pretty fresh to the Pacific Northwest, which made for a really fun vibe of discovery during the whole visit. Sprinkle in some of the best concrete parks in the country and we were bound to have a good time.
Thanks to The Lumberyard, Santiam Bicycles, Hutch’s Springfield for hosting events. Thanks to KC Badger, Kayla Lockhart, Shad Johnson, and Ryan Barrett for being tour guides. Thanks to all of the locals that met up and made the trip so fun.
