Milestones include the world’s first backflip triple tail whip for the rider who was a later bloomer in contest performances. Toohey only made his X Games premiere at age 27 and took until age 30 to score his first medal. But since then, he’s been on a roll and now owns four medals from X Games. Fellow Australian Boyd Hilder barged onto the scene at X Games Chiba 2023 by claiming a surprise gold in BMX Street and also owns first-place trophies from contests such as Simple Session in Estonia.
