There’s something about BMX that is pretty awesome to watch and that is the evolution of the quality that it is producing. Everything from the riding and videos to the products that brands are producing are getting better and better. Anyone who has spent a number of years riding BMX will tell you that complete bikes now days are a million times better than the bikes that they were on when they first started. It’s been pretty amazing watching things change over the years and there’s without a doubt that this year we’ve seen some of the most impressive bikes yet.
The guys over at Kink have released their new 2015 bikes worldwide and just looking at all 13 of the bikes they cooked up for this year, it’s easy to see they’ve put a lot of time and effort into their new range. We were thinking about how much goes into creating these bikes, so we figured it would be cool to catch up with Kink’s product manager, Matt Antes, to talk about what it took to get the bikes from the initial idea to the final product that you can pick up in the shop now! Let’s take a look and see what he had to say!
It’s always awesome when photographers send through photos for us to check out. It’s even better when it’s a photographer we’ve had the chance to feature in the past and they send through a bunch of new photos that really show how much they have progressed as a photographer. We’ve featured Eric Silver’s photos on our site in the past, and they were some real good photos. Over the course of a year, Eric’s photo work has progressed a ton and it’s clear in the photos he sent us the other day. After being banned from Jellystone Campground 6 years prior, the Baco crew had finally found an opportunity to bring their legendary contest back to the park thanks to new campground and skatepark ownership! Chase Hawk’s new signature frame from Cult is OUT NOW. This frame is made from chromoly blended Cult classic tubing with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 8.85″ stand over height, 11.7″ bottom bracket height and a 13.5″ – 13.8″ chain stay length. You can find gussets on the top and down tubes, a heat treated head tube and Mid bottom bracket, vintage style S-bends on the stays for plenty of tire clearance, an integrated seat post clamp, removable brake mounts on the seat stays and 5mm thick heat-treated dropouts. The Hawk frame is available in 20″, 20.5″, 20.75″, 21″ and 21.25″ top tube lengths with colors of translucent black, translucent red and translucent green and a weight of 5 lbs. 2.7 oz.
