It’s that time of the week again for us to get a closer look at 5 dialed BMX products you might just need for your bike! This week we’ve got all sorts of goodness to check out. After all was said and done, Rich Forne was sitting on a ton of leftover footage from the Mutiny “Cool Story Bro” video project. Instead of letting it all go to waste, he compiled 11 minutes of the footage into this video filled with crashes, extra angles and clips that just didn’t make the cut for your viewing pleasure! During Interbike, I was fortunate enough to get an early look at the final “Cool Story Bro” video from Mutiny Bikes. The video is the final part of a series of web videos that have dropped over the past year giving us a closer look into the lives of team riders Josh Bedford, Matt Roe, Justin Simpson, Brandon Hoerres and Tom “Robbo” Robinson. The final video features the riding footage that was saved during the filming of each of the original profiles along with with a ton of footage from the rest of the team.
I was going to drop a review tonight, thinking the video was dropping tomorrow, but now that it’s online, I figured I’ll just the rambling I would do talking about how good the riding footage from the team is and the film work that Richard Forne did for this one, and just let you enjoy it. The guys at The Albion are throwing a jam at the Devonshire Green Skatepark in Sheffield, England on Saturday, October 5th! The jam starts at about Noon and is really just an excuse to get everyone together to ride and have a good time. They will be having the Cock Masters Flyout competition to win some money and they will be premiering the new Mutiny “Cool Story Bro” video after! If you’re anywhere in the area, I highly advise you get to this.
Mutiny dropped this behind the scenes video to show you what it took to get that super gnarly clip from Kyle Davenport’s Welcome Edit. Talk about cutting it close! Super funny though.
“We enlisted Ashley Charles to dress up like a tourist and distract some highly unfriendly and ever-present hotel owners while Kyle jumped the big gap at the end of the video. It worked out perfectly – Ashley distracted the owners long enough for Kyle to eye up the gap and me to set up cameras, and Kyle jumped the gap just as one of the owners finally realized what was going on and came out to give us the boot.”
