Subrosa In Oregon

It looks like Oregon is going to be a bit of a hot spot the next few weeks between Volume Bikes heading that way and now the Subrosa team are heading that way thanks to QBMX! Check out the details below!

QBMX is sending Subrosa to Oregon to shred some cement, visit some shops, host a few Park Party’s and to have a Subrosa Street Rail Jam!

Subrosa riders Hoang Tran, Jono Hopping, Nick Bullen, and Kyle Hart will be heading there in June for these 3 stops.

6/12 Santium Bicycles Salem, OR
Meet at the Salem shop at 4pm
Park Party at Marion Park at 5pm

6/14 Goods BMX in Portland, OR
Meet at shop at 3pm
Park Party at Battleground at 5pm

6/16 Veal Bikes in Monmouth, OR

Nick Bullen – Modern Skatepark Sessions

You can’t go wrong with a fresh BMX video from Nick Bullen! Check it out at he gets some time in at Modern Skatepark in Michigan! Nick cooks up a ton of great lines, a bunch of grinds and more! There’s even a few guest clips from Ryan Wert and Nick’s brother, Jacob! Take a look!

“Nick Bullen and Cory Wiergowski hit the Modern Times park in Royal Oak, MI pretty regularly… and it shows. When Cory got side-lined with a sliced tendon in his pinky, he decided to pick up the camera and cruise along with Nick Bullen for a number of sessions. Nick sorted out all the local lines years ago, and so he brings out the big guns towards the end with moves like a pegs to crank arm to feeble, or backwards feeble to drop tooth. It turns out that Cory Wiergowski can’t edit, so he passed the footage off the Detroit area BMX videographer Alex Burnside to finish up. We’re quite pleased with the result.” – Ride BMX

Product: Subrosa – Big Bitchin’ Cranks

There’s no denying that with all of the progression of BMX, there’s been a lot of focus on making putting strength in products where it counts. One of the things we have seen a lot these past two years or so are more brands offering beefier and larger cranks that are designed to take on the heavy drops and abuse that they’re being put through on street, ramps and trails. We have seen a big resurgence of 22mm cranks, along with a few giving the 24mm spindle size a go. One option that will be hitting shops in March are the new Big Bitchin’ cranks from Subrosa that are a larger, more bitchin’ version of their original Bitchin’ cranks that have been available in a 19mm version for a few years now. With them being just a few weeks out from release, we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look! Let’s do this!

Product: Subrosa – Nickel Bullen Thunderbeast Frame

This past summer, Subrosa gave Nick Bullen the well deserved bump up to the pro team after kicking a bunch of ass on the Skeleton crew for a while! To start off 2015 right, they have given Nick his own signature colorway on Scott Ditchburn’s Thunderbeast frame along with a signature Pizza tripod seat that’s in the works as well. We were digging this shiny piece of work, so we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at the Nickel Bullen Thunderbeast! Let’s do this!

Subrosa – Nick Bullen Thunderbeast Promo

Subrosa dropped this short but sweet promo video featuring Nick Bullen tearing apart some street spots for his signature “Nickel Bullen” colorway on the Thunderbeast frame! It sounds like filming was cut short due to a knee injury, but he still cooked up plenty of goodness! Check it!

“Subrosa pro rider Nick Bullen filmed with Alex Burnside in his home state of Michigan before he tore cartilage in his lateral meniscus (messed his knee up). Although he couldn’t film as much as he normally would’ve, Nick stacked up some serious clips!

Sneak Peek: Subrosa – Nick Bullen “Pizza” Tripod Seat

If you caught a look at Nick Bullen’s bike check that dropped yesterday over on the Subrosa website, you might have caught a look at a few of Nick’s new signature products that are in the works like the “Nickel Bullen” Thunderbeast frame and his signature Pizza tripod seat. We have seen this seat pop up a few times in the past, but it would appear this one is getting pretty close to release. What do you think? Anyone else hungry?
