Dirt Ron Bike Check

May 18, 2012

Dirt Ron BMX
Intro by Kurt Hohberger
Photos and Q&A by Jeremy Pavia

There’s no doubt that Dirt Ron is what we like to call “unique”. Ron is the kind of guy who doesn’t follow the typical scheme of setup or riding that you can find popping up online most days. I mean, how many people do you see running only a front brake and do candy bars more than actual barspins? Being different isn’t bad, in fact, that’s what I love about the guy! I’ve never experienced a bad moment being in his presence and I’m sure there’s a lot of other people who can say the same.
Back in March we were given the privilege to announce that Ron had been added to the Bone Deth team, which was more than a perfect fit for him. Recently, Jeremy spent some time with him and they decided to see how his new setup is treating him. So let’s take a closer look at Ron’s new setup along with a few extra questions for good measure!

Broc Raiford Interview

May 15, 2012

Broc Raiford
“The T-bog photo was taken by Francis Delapena while we were shooting for my Odyssey welcome to the team edit at a DIY skate spot that had been getting built over the last couple months. It’s really fun and is the closest thing we have to an outdoor skatepark in the New Orleans area.”

Over the last few years, Broc Raiford has been popping up more and more with some incredible riding that definitely caught a lot of peoples attention. Recently, he found himself getting picked up by Volume and officially added to the Odyssey team after riding the flow team for a while. Broc is also just about to finish up high school so with all these new things going on, we figured it was due time to get ahold of him and find out more about him. Let’s check out what he had to say!

There is NO WAY in hell I’m missing this one this year.

“This year will include dirt jumps, street course, and the return of an even more challenging Gauntlet of Death. Flatland will also be a part of this year’s Toast as we combine forces with the Texas Round Up flatland jam.

Mark your calendars and we will bring you more information in the coming months as it becomes available.” – Odyssey

Product: Odyssey – Aerospace Rims

April 26, 2012

Since I think Odyssey explained these new Aerospace rims proper…

“The Aerospace features an “aero”, or “V-shaped” cross-section, which creates a unique structural design. Made from 6000 series aluminum, it’s both easy to manufacture, incredibly durable and allows us to create a rim that’s strong, light and affordable. Thick inner sidewalls, and a lowered center wall section provide more room when installing or removing tires, and running brakes isn’t an issue. The Aerospace uses a traditional lacing pattern, just like the Hazard Lite, Seven K-A and Quadrant.

Precision welded joint
