Unclicked Podcast – Gary Young

June 29, 2020

After a bit of a hiatus, the Unclicked Podcast is back! Things have changed up and Dennis Enarson has taken a bit of a back seat on it and the Our BMX crew are going to keep it going. Here’s the first episode back with the one and only Gary Young! This one covers a ton of ground with a ton of great stories, so hit play and check out what was talked about!

“Unclicked is available on itunes, spotify, or wherever else you listen to podcasts.

Season 2, Episode 1. Things have changed a little bit with the Unclicked Podcast. Dennis got a bit burned out, so we struck a deal where I’d (Ryan Fudger) would take over the podcast and he’d still be involved as much or as little as he’d like. Fortunately, we have several podcasts in the bag already and Dennis has been part of every single one. New logo, new co-host, new location, and a new dog that interrupts the podcast, but it’s still the same Unclicked. The first episode back is with the one and only Gary Young, who happens to be my best friend and have one of the best table tops in BMX. Check the timecodes below if you want to jump around:

4:15 – Gary’s unexpected upbringing
15:05 – Choosing to not drink
17:10 – Early influences
24:40 – Turning down a Red Bull sponsorship
32:00 – Contests then vs contests now
38:00 – “What was it like being invited X Games…as a judge?”

1:02:50 – Is Gary an undercover dickhead?
1:06:40 – Choosing between Hoffman Bikes and Macneil Bikes
1:13:20 – Juggling being a BMX pro and having a family
1:18:30 – The key to longevity.

Infamixtape

May 3, 2020

The InfamousLDN squad coming through with a rad video giving us a look at what they got into during multiple trips to Asia between 2018 and 2020 stacking clips on spots all over the place. This is a mix featuring the crew, along with some of the locals they hit spots up with along the way. Check out the story below to get the full scoop. It’s pretty wild how much plans can change as soon as things started getting weird over there. Safe to say they were still able to get a ton of great footage during the times they were there. This is a great watch from start to finish, so get on that play button!

“We started filming this video on our first trip to Asia at the end of 2018. Beginning in Japan, we went on to Taiwan and Vietnam, then somehow ended up in New Zealand (another story) for a couple months, with just over a week in Melbourne on the way home. Good friends were made on this trip, and plans to return were made.

9 months later in early 2020 we found ourselves back in Taiwan. After around a week of eating extreme amounts of the local cuisine and indulging in the seemingly endless supply of spots, Corona Virus had made its way onto the world stage. Apart from a cancelled trip to Hong Kong due to the ‘Rona, the trip carried on as planned despite the virus. We moved around Taiwan for just over 3 weeks before flying to Hanoi. Spent 10 days around the north of Vietnam riding dirt bikes and doing stupid shit, and six days of extreme heat and humidity down south in Ho Chi Minh city riding the handful of spots on offer. With the whole corona virus thing starting to take hold and funds dwindling, we decided to make Japan our last destination before heading back home. We stayed near Tokyo for a couple weeks, enjoying our final days of the trip before a hellish 28 hour journey home, and have been in lockdown ever since!

A huge thank you to Allen Liu, Daichi Kawamoto, Robin Sloot, Hikaru Funyu and everybody else we met along the way. Can’t wait to come again!” – InfamousLDN

Morgan Wade – Least Favorite / Most Favorite

April 30, 2020

These Least Favorite / Most Favorite videos are always pretty interesting since you get a lot of insight and stories that you would never really know about. This time around Morgan Wade sits down to talk about his Least Favorite video part and his Most Favorite video part. Both of these videos are awesome, so it’s pretty interesting to get Morgan’s perspective on what he liked and what he didn’t like. What’s really crazy is there is actually another version of his “Drop The Hammer” part that Morgan liked a lot better with a different song. Check this out.

“The basic concept here is that we’re going to sit down riders who have had a plethora of video parts and have them discuss their least favorite (not to be confused with not liking) and most favorite. Jog the ol’ memory box and talk about a different period of their life and what went into making those parts…

I actually filmed this Least/Most with Morgan back in 2019 shortly after we started Our BMX (hence a couple of Ride references), but totally spaced on putting it together. Morgan recently posted his DTH section and it sparked me to get this done. If you’d like to watch the parts he discusses without commentary, click below…
