Vans – Perris Benegas Welcome To The Family

After being apart of the Vans flow team for a while now, it looks like she has finally been given the official bump up to the global Pro team! Here’s a short but sweet video to bring the news! We would imagine we’ll be seeing plenty more of Perris in 2021! Get stoked.

Perris is an inspiring force in the BMX community. Her style that has garnered recognition on a global stage. Named as Bloom BMX’s 2020 Freestyle Rider of the Year, as well as earning top honors at Vans 2019 BMX Pro Cup stops in Germany and Huntington Beach, California, Perris most recently received a signature pro frame from Cult, alongside Vans and Cult teammate Angie Marino, marking a milestone for female BMX riders everywhere.

The nominees for the Women’s Rider of the Year for NORA Cup 2020 have been announced! Here’s a look at the ladies who made the top 5! It’s been amazing seeing more and more women riders popping up all over the world, and the level of progression has been insane over the last few years!

Woodward West Girls Week

With a little more free time due to the shut downs, it looks like Angie Marino got around to putting a video together from the Girls Week at Woodward West last summer. Hit play to check out what she got into, along with a handful of other familiar faces, from riding to skating, swimming and more. Hannah Roberts Wins FISE Montpellier 2019 Women’s BMX Park

FISE has been going off in Montpellier, France! The Women’s BMX Park Final went off and Hannah Roberts found herself on top of the podium once again! Above is a look at her winning run. Hannah Roberts Wins Women’s Vans BMX Pro Cup Huntington Beach

Hannah Roberts takes the top spot in the Women’s class for the Vans BMX Pro Cup in Huntington Beach, California!

Yesterday before the Vans BMX Pro Cup Men’s Final, the ladies took to the course to drop in and throw down! There were 10 riders in the women’s class and they all came out firing. In the end, Hannah Roberts found herself on the top of the podium with Macarena Perez and Nikki Wetzel taking 2nd and 3rd. Hannah has been on fire this past year or so, taking top spots at many of the contests she’s been hitting up! Awesome to see!

“In an exciting women’s competition, 15-year-old Michigan-native Hannah Roberts raised the bar of women’s BMX riding with her charging style and back-to-back trick selection, taking home the women’s Vans BMX Pro Cup first place title. In second, Chile’s Macarena Perez awed the crowd with her huge airs and high-speed lines. Ruling the park with strong riding and a unique fastplant transfer, Las Vegas’ Nikki Wetzel takes the women’s Best Trick award and joins Roberts and Perez on the podium in third.

“Riding with all these girls is amazing. The way that they push each other and stay upbeat is awesome,” an enthusiastic Roberts said. “Their positive energy helped me. I’m stoked about the win and so proud of everybody.”” – Vans
