Head over to the Red Bull website to check out an interview George Marshall did with Ruben Alcantara about the skatepark he designed and built in Malaga, Spain! George pulled out the fancy large format camera and shot some rad photos to go with this and it sounds like there will be a video and more dropping later this week, so get stoked!
Every year, Red Bull does some really cool events and projects with and for BMX, but I don’t think they’ve ever done as much as they did in 2013 in the past. This highlight reel is a reminder of all the cool things they were involved with and I’m willing to bet this doesn’t even cover it all. Take a peek and expect an even better 2014!
Red Bull got Drew Bezanson, Daniel Sandoval, and Hucker a private session at the Vans Skatepark in California. They stick to the mini ramp, but of course Drew thinks outside of the box and turns it into a giant step-up jump. Click here to see the video since Red Bull makes their videos auto play.
Well… Here’s something different? Red Bull dropped Daniel Dhers into traffic on a flatbed trailer with some ramps on it. Take a peek at the session he got in! I can imagine this got a little tricky when it was moving!
Sergio Layos in Malta
This is awesome. Head over to the Red Bull website to check out an interview George Marshall did with Johnny Zammit, who has helped BMX grow into a big scene on the small island of Malta just south of Italy! This guy might be 66 and never actually rode BMX, but it’s clear he loves the sport and has done SO much for it with little resources.
Here’s the latest Inside The Bakery edit from Red Bull that has left me quite confused… This episode is based off a few months back when Brian went to Russia for a contest, but then talks about the lease agreement for the location going south… but the riding is from the new location… So I’m not sure if they’re talking about the old location or the new location that is having issues. Ah! So much confusion. Just watch the dialed riding in this.

The weather might not have been super cooperative, but things for the Red Bull Urban Rhythm event were still able to happen! Check out this video giving you a look at how the event came together and what went down!
“The rain couldn’t stop the athletes and artists from turning downtown Houston into their playground haven tonight at Red Bull Urban Rhythm. Hucker and GONZO247’s collaboration to create a one-of-a-kind street art BMX track came to life as the athlete’s took to riding the course after the storm. The crew of athletes and builders came together to clear the water from the track after the rain affected the features. Sweat and hard work paid off as the team was able to dry the course off and make it safe again to ride. The clouds parted just in time as an excited local crowd packed in.“
