Remember that crazy video of Vasya Lukyanenko riding the satellite dishes? Well, here’s a behind the scenes look at how Red Bull and Vasya were able to make that session happen. So crazy.
Red Bull – Local Hero Tour: Best Moments
This past summer, Red Bull threw the Local Hero Tour where they made stops at a bunch of different cities in Russia to give some of the local riders a chance to get a little shine time. This is a highlight reel of the best riding that went down. So many awesome clips in this.
Red Bull – Ramparanoia 2012
“16 dudes… One Oxygen mask… Somebody is passing out.”… All right, I’m not even sure how to explain this one. Red Bull dragged guys like Ben Hennon, Gary Young, Aaron Ross, Daniel Dhers and Ruben Alcantara out into the desert of Argentina to ride one of the wildest naturally made spots in the world. They had each rider being the judge of the contest and based on this video, they were able to get some riding time in without dying. Check this out.
“Ben Hennon won Red Bull Ramparanoia, the BMX competition held in the Campo de Piedra Pomez (Pumice field), located in Catamarca, Argentina, 4000 meters above sea level. The riders were forced to adapt to the demanding elevation and heat, trying to ride a bike on a surface that had never been explored by a BMX athlete before.” – Red Bull
Red Bull – Bruno Hoffmann “Back to Berlin Streets” – Part 2
Part two from Bruno Hoffmann’s “Back to Berlin Streets” from Red Bull is now online! This time around Bruno has a bunch of his friends making cameos and the riding gets absolutely wild. Not to say Bruno’s riding isn’t technical, but there are a few clips that are suuuuuuper technical out of him in this that are amazing. Don’t miss this.
“The Bruno Hoffmann project: “Back to Berlin Streets”. For 2 months, Bruno Hoffmann explored the city of Berlin in search of the best BMX street spots. In the second episode, Bruno meets up with fellow riders Matthias Dandois, Anthony Perrin, Mario Waffenschmidt, Dennis Kicza, and the Slayer crew to ride some of the best places Berlin has to offer.“
Red Bull – Pamparanoia 2012 Trailer
Red Bull dropped Gary Young, Aaron Ross, Ruben Alcantara, Tobias Wicke, Ben Hennon and a few others in on one of the wildest looking places on the planet, Catamarca, Argentina, for a little contest. Above is the trailer giving you an idea of what went down. I can only imagine what will come from the actual video for this.
Red Bull – Life Behind Bars: Vancouver BMX and Pemberton Downhill – Episode 16
I don’t know who Brandon Semenuk and Logan Peat are, but from what I’ve gathered in this is that they are professional mountain bike guys who happen to also ride BMX. They talk about how they just got into BMX and I honestly didn’t expect these guys to be as good as they are. When I say good, I mean they make BMX look easy, haha.
“Brandon and Logan hit up Kirkstone Skatepark in Vancouver, BC to test out their new BMX bikes. After a fun park session, they venture out in the city to find some local street spots. After making a new friend, the boy’s head up to Pemberton for some downhill MTB trail riding to end their trip.” – Red Bull
Vasya Lukyanenko Riding Satellite Dishes
What… the… hell… This has got to be one of the craziest spots ever ridden. You NEED to hit the play button on this one. Vasya Lukyanenko ain’t scared.
After you check out the video, hit up the Mellon site for a quick round of 7’s as well.
“Following his spectacular ride along the roof of a skyscraper in Kiev in 2010, BMX star Vasya Lukyanenko recently took things to the next level as he headed for the Ukrainian National Space Centre in Yevpatoria to demonstrate his bike skills on the huge radar dishes.
He made his way to the National Spacecraft Control and Testing Centre outside the city of Yevpatoria on the Ukraine’s eastern coast for a BMX session unlike any other ever seen before.” – Red Bull
GoPro – Ryan Nyquist at the Red Bull Skylines Contest
During the Red Bull Skylines contest a few weeks back, Ryan Nyquist strapped a GoPro to his junk to give you guys a first hand look at what it was like to ride those huge ramps. Check out the footage that came back in this new Network A edit.
“Red Bull recently selected 24 of the best BMX riders in the world to compete at the Red Bull Skylines event in Paris, France. With a massive custom park set up and insane Grand Palais venue, this event was one to watch! Here’s an awesome perspective from Skyline first place winner Ryan Nyquist! Captured with a GoPro mounted to his frame, watch as Ryan picks a smooth line through the course highlighting the different transitions and obstacles. Check out Ryan’s series “Getting Awesome” alternating Tuesday’s on Network A!”
