Over the course of the past year or so, we’ve been starting to see more and more from Ashley Charles‘ brand that he stared called Relic. The latest batch of products which include some dialed sprockets, stems, a RAILED seat and more just landed at BMX shops and mail-orders around the world, so Can You Dig It figured it was time to get ahold of Ashley and find out just what the brand is all about. Relic BMX – Elect Stem

August 22, 2016

It’s been a little while since we’ve taken a look at Ashley Charles‘ brand Relic, so we figured it would be a good time to take a look at one of their stem‘s. The Elect stem is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum right here in the U.S.A with a 52mm reach, 22mm rise (9mm inverted) and 31mm stack height. The stem features a clean and simple design, Relic logo etched into the face plate and on the bottom of the stem, additional internal machining for additional weight savings and solid chromoly bolts. The Elect stem is available in black and raw colors, weighs in at 11 oz and comes with a price tag of $59.99 through BMX shops and mail-orders.

Clint Reynolds Welcome to Relic

Not going to lie, we got real excited hoping for a 3 minute long video from Clint Reynolds when we saw the title, but this shorter clip works, too! It looks like Clint is now doing it for Ashley Charles‘ parts brand, Relic! Hit play to take in a few clips to bring the news packed full of style!

Sneak Peek: Relic – Void Bars

May 27, 2016

Here’s a little news we spotted over on Can You Dig It for your guys. It looks like the Relic crew have decided to add a set of BMX Bars to their line up, and they aren’t 4-piece bars! Seriously, we’ve seen a lot of 4-piece bars lately. The new “Void” bars from Relic will be made right here in the U.S.A by S&M Bikes out of 4130 chromoly with an 8.8″ rise, 29″ width, 12-degrees of backsweep and 2-degrees of upsweep. Not too many details other than that, but they will be available in about 4 weeks. Get stoked!

Double whammy from Chad Osburn for you today! Earlier we got a BIKE CHECK, now we get some fresh footage of Chad and Ashley Charles cruising a bowl for Relic! If you love style, you will be stoked on this BMX video! Check it!

“What is Relic? Find out here and then give this belter a watch. Ashley Charles and Chad Osburn roasting the hell out of some fast concrete fun. Simple and classic.

“We believe it’s the overall feel of a video that gives you that urge to pick up your bike and go shred as soon as it’s finished. I know personally there aren’t too many videos or edits these days that give me that feeling. One could say it’s a little over saturated with the focus or goal seemingly being on the wrong thing. This video doesn’t have some crazy new technical trick that you have never seen before or some dude doing a 360 down one more stair than the video you watched yesterday. Don’t get me wrong that stuff is sweet and has it’s place but this seems to be the dominant factor in most online videos these days. We picked a song that we thought was fast paced and that makes you wanna roast higher and pedal faster. Then we picked a couple cement bowls we knew we would have a fun time riding. With those two things decided upon not even some high speed winds or Chad taking a harsh slam could slow us down.” Relic
