Eclat BMX – “Socialites” In Texas

December 22, 2017

The Eclat team spent some time slaying spots in Texas for their new “Socialites” video!

It’s very obvious that the entire Eclat Pro team is seriously stacked, and here’s a good reminder of that! Check out what Ty Morrow, Bruno Hoffmann, Sean Burns, Dan Coller and Devon Smillie got into during their time cruising spots around Austin, Texas and surrounding areas during a week long visit. You already know this is an absolute BANGER. Especially with Darryl Tocco behind the lens!

“Eclat’s Ty Morrow, Bruno Hoffmann, Sean Burns, Dan Coller, and Devon Smillie ascend on the BMX Mecca of Austin, Texas for a week. The Socialites trip was dubbed “an end of the year Eclat vacation” but you wouldn’t know it from the amount of work these guys put in all over Austin and nearby San Antonio.

Eclat BMX – Sean Burns “Socialites” Preludes

December 20, 2017

Get a behind the scenes look at what Sean Burns went through trying to get a clip for the Eclat “Socialites” video…

Yesterday we got some insight from Ty Morrow on what it took to get one of his clips for the Eclat “Socialites” video, now today we get a look at a battle Sean Burns went through. You win some and you lose some!

“When you ride the way Sean Burns does, you don’t want things to take a lot of tries. For Burns, it’s typically do or die. In a rare instance while in San Antonio on Eclat Socialites trip, Sean came across a feeble-to-wallride setup that didn’t want to come easy for him. Sean knows when to choose his battles and he managed to save himself for some much bigger victories that you’ll see when Eclat Socialites drops this Friday, Dec 22. ” – Ride BMX

Eclat – Ty Morrow “Socialites” Preludes

December 19, 2017

Get some perspective from Ty Morrow on a spot he filmed at for the Eclat Socialites video that’s coming soon.

If you have been following Eclat, you know the team recently spent some time out in Texas stacking clips for their new “Socialites” video that’ll be dropping online at the end of this week. Here’s a quick video where Ty Morrow gives us a behind the scenes look at what went into getting a clip on a spot in San Antonio. If this is just one of the clips, we have a feeling we’ll be seeing some serious hammers in the full edit. Get ready.

“Ty Morrow is a calculated rider. Rest assured you’ll never catch him hucking it. Case in point was this massive 360 in a San Antonio ditch. We knew Ty could do it, but with a narrow and cluttered landing and wind blowing hard, he had plenty of factors to deal with. Here’s a glimpse into how Ty operates and what he goes through to get the job done and handle bangers.

See Ty and the rest of the Eclat squad in the Socialites video dropping right here this Friday, Dec 22.” – Ride BMX

Nathan Williams Video Bike Check

December 18, 2017

Nathan Williams gives us one final bike check with his United Mothership setup…

It was announced earlier this week that Nathan Williams is no longer riding for United, but the guys at Ride BMX had a video bike check they filmed a few weeks back with Nathan that they figured they drop before Nathan switches things up with a new setup. Who he will be riding or, we’re not sure… But this is still a real dialed ride. We can imagine we’ll be seeing another bike check from Nathan in the near future.

“Well, many people didn’t see the whole Nathan Williams leaving United thing coming… Including us, because we shot this here bike check with him a few weeks back. For the sake of not having it ever, ever be seen, we figured it was worth dropping now, even if it is not all that relevant anymore. You can at least get a few insights into how Nathan rides the thing, eh?

Drop The Pin: Demarcus Paul

December 14, 2017

Demarcus Paul spends some time exploring a random part of San Diego as he drops a pin in his maps app.

Technology has been an amazing thing for BMX. One tool that most people might not consider is just how useful Google Maps can be for finding new spots to ride. Demarcus Paul took on the Drop The Pin challenge from Ride BMX and ended up in a random part of San Diego to see just what it had or street spots. Hit play to see what he came across for things to ride with a few guest clips from Gary Young!

“The first of a new series…Drop The Pin is about simply cruising a random area in search of something outside the norm.

Demarcus blindly dropped a pin on a map of the greater San Diego area and we hit the road, parked, and pedaled ’til the sun went down. For the first attempt at this series, it went oddly well. Demarcus had been to the Banker’s Hill area before (he’s basically been everywhere in SD), but every single spot we rode was something he had never ridden before.” – Ride BMX

#StillTrickChallenge Instagram Compilation

December 13, 2017

All of the best #StillTrickChallenge BMX videos compiled into one video for your viewing pleasure…

If you have been following the #StillTrickChallenge videos on Instagram, then you already know there’s been a ton of crazy submissions so far. The concept is simple, the rider hops on their bike and, without pedaling, they do a trick. This has lead to a TON of crazy clips from flatland tricks to old school tricks and some ridiculous bangers. There’s also plenty of laughs, too. Take a peek to see 50 different ones lal in one place.

“True Story:
Soooo, I saw Eric Bahlman’s #stilltrickchallenge video and thought it was dope so I reposted it on the Ride Instagram. Then I got an email from Russia with another one that was awesome. Then Larry Edgar texted me his. Then Brad Simms texted me his. And I was like, damn, this whole #stilltrickchallenge thing is really popular…maybe we should do a little compilation video of it? So I clicked through waaaaay too many videos, downloaded at least 50 of ’em, and then sent them to our new contributing editor Tom Perry and he whipped up this outright masterpiece for your viewing please.

Yup, that’s how this exists. Sorry if I missed your video (or if you posted it recently…I went through the hashtag on Sunday).

And before anyone comments, I know Tate’s was shot before the #stilltrickchallenge was a thing.” – Ryan Fudger / Ride BMX

December 13, 2017

If you aren’t familiar with Jarren Barboza yet, you’ll want to take notice! Here’s his latest for All Day BMX Shop where he goes to work on a ton of great spots from Mexicali on up to San Diego. This has grinds, big gaps and drops and more. Jarren really put in the work for this one. Enjoy!

“Volume’s Jarren Barboza is definitely on the rise and his latest video from All Day BMX Shop 100% proves why…” – Ride BMX

“Jarren and I started working on this video a few months back as soon as he was down to be a part of the ALL DAY Family.
Before we started working on this project I hadn’t really spent that much time with Jarren so it was awesome to go out ride with him and spent some time to really get to know him better.
He is a great kid, down to earth and down to work.
We started this project out in Mexicali Mexico and from there to San Diengo CA and it was all good times.

You will definitely see more from Jarren for his sponsors and also we will be working on Jarren’s All Day Bmx Shop Dvd section for the next few months.” – Alex, All Day BMX

GT Bicycles – Dan Conway “Seriously Fun” Section

December 10, 2017

Dan Conway’s section from the GT Bicycles “Seriously Fun” DVD now online!

If you’re looking for some damn good riding, you’re in the right place! GT Bicycles just released Dan Conway‘s section from the “Seriously fun” DVD online for your viewing pleasure. As many of you know, Dan is an absolute BEAST on a bike and is no stranger to putting his pegs to HEAVY use on every rail and ledge he comes across. In this case, he was able to go to work in multiple countries and it’s safe to say he had no problems stacking clips, because this part is packed with bangers. After Dan’s section, you get the credits section filled with b-roll, randoms, crashes and more. Hit play and enjoy!

“Dan Conway goes all in for his ender section in GT’s “Seriously Fun”. Dan took some diggers while filming this section, but all those big rails, kinkers, hubbas, and ledge/rails stand no match for this savage.” – Ride BMX
