Ruben Alcantara recently made his way to the Lost Pipe in Alentejo, Portugal where he met up with João Soares to film this quick, but amazing new video. This spot is incredible.
A few weeks back, Ed from Terrible One had hit me up about a photogallery they were trying to put together of peoples Ruben Alcantara builds. They asked if I wanted to send through a shot of my bike for it and of course I was all over that. Above is my personal setup and you can check out about 35 others right here. You better believe that she’s a sturdy unit.
Check out Ruben Alcantara putting in work on a unique spot along with a few guest clips from Clint Zabodyn and Devon Lampman. Can’t go wrong with some Ruben footage.
“I’ve been trying to figure out a way to do edits with everyone that comes through Austin, Texas without taking away too much time from their sponsorship obligations while in town. After Texas Toast, Ruben Alcantara stayed in town to work on a new video for Fly Bikes. On one of his free days, we went and explored a new spot on the edge of town. It worked out really well and it’s not just another plaza edit. Welcome to the first episode of Spot Hunter, featuring former Austin resident Ruben Alcantara on a new, perfectly transitioned spot we recently stumbled upon.” – Charlie Crumlish / ESPN BMX
You can’t go wrong with footage from these guys…
“In mid august I spent a few days at the Club Eurocamp, in Spain, with Stefan Lantschner, Ruben Rodriguez and Ruben Alcantara during the FATbmx week. It was super hot every day so the sessions were rather relaxed but everyone had fun!
Check out a few clips we’ ve filmed in two chilled sessions!
Hope you like it!

In this issue we’re bringing you some of the people, places, and events that have inspired and shaped BMX and our magazine since our first issue in 1993. To mark this occasion we’ve produced four collectable covers featuring Brian Foster, Ruben Alcantara, Joe Rich, and Van Homan; all legends of the modern era.” – DIG
