As some of you probably know, John has been one of those guys who has a long history in BMX and has been behind the scenes making so many things happen for years from bringing up riders to being a team manager, producer of some of the best BMX videos out and so much more. Last month, the BMX world lost a legend with Pat Casey‘s passing after a dirt bike accident. The latest round of the Unclicked Podcast has Dennis Enarson, Kevin Peraza, Andy Buckworth and Ryan Fudger taking a look back at Pat’s incredible life and just talk about stories with him and more. This is a heavy one, but a real good listen. Get on it!

“The untimely passing of Pat Casey had a ripple effect through the world that couldn’t be avoided. News pieces, scumbag clickbait YouTube videos, graffiti on freeways in his honor, jams in both sides of the world, and a million instagram posts paying homage to the legacy Pat has left behind.
I was a friend of Pat—one of a few thousand—who happens to run a “news” outlet and I really struggled with what I should post and when. A few days after his passing, we began discussing doing a podcast that simply just pays respect to Pat. Who he was, what he did, how he lived. But, I just don’t think any of us were ready to be on camera yet. After two weeks, Kevin Peraza, Andy Buckworth, Dennis, and myself all decided that it was time to make it happen…
This was a difficult one and I’m not sure we did the best job with it. As soon as the cameras were off, it felt like all the emotions we were holding down just poured out. We spent another hour or so outside just sharing more stories of Pat and all the random memories of funny shit he did or had going on. It could’ve gone on for days…” — Ryan Fudger

Colony BMX – USA Park Trip (2008)

Check out this throwback video from a Colony trip back in 2008!

It’s pretty wild to think 2008 was 15 years ago. Here’s an old video from the U.S.A park trip that Colony where they bounced from the Animal House to the Skatepark of Tampa and more along the southeast coast. This has a bunch of th OG Colony crew throwing down and even after all these years the riding does not disappoint. Take a look!

“Pulled from the Prody Productions Apple Mac G4 archives & first released back in 2008 on the Colony BMX Vimeo channel. Now it lives on in the world of YouTube of today.

This trip brings back some great memories. Along for the ride was Ryan Guettler, Steve Woodward, Dave Freimuth, Mick Bayzand, Liam Fahy-Hampton, Nick Richardson, Matt King, Toby Matthews & Clint Millar. Ryan Fudger was there to document it for Ride BMX Magazine at the time.

We travelled so much ground in such a short time but it was all worth it. Florida to North Carolina to Georgia & everywhere in between & back, all within a week. Amazing memories.

Sit back, relax & enjoy the ride with us, in a time in BMX that feels so long ago now.
But also, feels like it all was just the other day. BMX rules. Thank you.
